In my experiences, there are many, many doubters in the world. At times I wonder if they are the silent majority. Is it intolerance by believers? Are they just afraid to stand up?

if you want to practice your religion, fine.

just stop trying to convert people who are perfectly happy with their own beliefs.

i'm sick of christians who think that they have the only correct mindset. They always try to justify breeching freedom of religion and even going to war by saying OTHER people are wrong

What's your experience with it?

Care to help rid some myths about it all?

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,[a] and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works

When you read the lost books, many things go along with the bible and make sense.I am not saying they should or not be included as the bible states no one can do that without a curse, but I have yet to see the purpose of Song of songs,it's Solomans best love song of a man a women, and it's like adding temptation and lustful. What are your thoughts and what do you get out of it?

I am really finding it difficult to decide which religion is more insane: Chritianity or Islam (yeah I know this is like asking which ocean is more wet, the Atlantic or the Pacific, but hey).

Now I figure that in term of insanity of core beliefs, you have pick Chrisianity here (nb: Creationists are excluded from this since they are so hopelessly insane there wouldn't be any contest left if they were included). However when it comes to the insanity of believers, I feel Islam easily has the edge here with the number of pyschotic followers it clearly attracts.

So I'm finding it just too tough to call - can you help me decide.

And if there are any relgious wackos reading this, please be aware I already realize that:
- I am evil
- I am going to hell (oh no, not HELL!)
- God still loves me anyway (or have I gone too far this time?)
- you will pray for me (you will, won't you?)
- I am secretly searching for meaning in my life but won't admit it

How many of you believe you will be rewarded for the actions of this life time in addition to accepting Jesus as your savior.

Why is it that people of religious beliefs are made out to be "narrow minded" and we have a "holier than thou" attitude? I find it ironic that most liberals portray themselves as "open minded" but yet never take the time to respect or consider another person's opinion that happens to disagree with theirs. Why do people with religious beliefs get sterotyped? Not all people who have religious beliefs have an "attitude" or are "narrow minded." Why can you degrade me for my beliefs and opinions, but if I do the same to you, I'm "not minding my own business" and being "closed minded" ??

Why do some people consistantly bash Christians and their belief in God? God never did anything to the haters except love them.

The Bible tells me not to argue about science. And the Bible talks about a false science too... hmmm that's interesting you learn something new everyday. Science says the Bible is false and the Bible says that some science is false...
1Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane [and] vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
It means: Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge (science).

Okay, God wants people to take care of themselves…I had to wrap my brain around that one. The question addresses fiscal responsibility for low-income families, they should not have public assistance. Okay, now I am confused…where is Christian charity in this answer? Jesus helped the poor, in fact God sent Jesus down here to cleanse the sins of man- that doesn’t sound like the actions of someone who wants you to take care of yourself! You pray to him for help and guidance, does he then want you to take care of yourself? Can you see where I am confused on Christian Charity?

We all love God and he loves us. Wouldn't it be nice to get close to him first thing in the morning?

That's why there's new
Ezekiel 4:9 Cinnamon Raisin brand cereal.

Those crisp sweet flakes will remind you of just how much God loves you. And even Jesus would be tempted by the tasty all-natural, organic raisins.

So make Ezekiel 4:9 Cinnamon Raisin cereal part of your divine plan. I think you'll be glad you did.

A secondary question would be, Do the teachings of Christ lose value if we ignore all of the peripheral interpretation of it by the apostles after his death? Really interested to see some thoughts on this one.

It’s ironic that you defend life before birth and say that every life is precious, then why don’t we choose our causes for war more judiciously? Why do you try and stop a woman from having a child she may not be able to support and yet cut Government funding to her children later? When do you stop caring about the unborn life you saved? Is this what God wants?

Here's where I'm coming from...
I have nothing against homosexuals.
I DO have something against the bible.

And I just don't get people who profess to be Christians yet say they accept homosexuals. The bible is pretty clear on the subject: along with a lot of other stuff, God hates gays.

So why not just be honest with yourselves and accept being open minded without feeling the need to justify yourselves through an archaic set of beliefs?
