This is known amoung believers as the "Great White Throne Judgement." The only ones judged here are non-believers. Because they do not have a Savior through which their sins were forgiven, Jesus looks to their "works." Since no one can be saved by works, they are all judged guilty and tossed into the Lake of Fire.
Believers, on the other hand, are judged for their sins at the moment of Salvation; found guilty; but granted an undeserved pardon due to belief in Christ.

First of all if you are interpreting faith as being without works, you are wrong... I say to you, show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith by my works... there is no such thing as faith without works. ( see James 2:14-26) Anyone whom has truly made a commitment to CHRIST will have works or a changed life (2 Cor 5:17) Faith and works go hand in hand the same way as fire and fuel does... If someone says that they love baseball but yet they never play baseball, talk about baseball nor does anything about their life give anyone the slightest hint that they love baseball , then they are lying and they do not love baseball. Its the same with CHRISTIANITY, if someone says that they are a CHRISTIAN but does not live their life according to the teachings of CHRIST THE LORD than they are lying or ignorant or both...(see 1JN 2:3-4) And finally the scripture, Rev 20:11-13
is dealing with the part of the human race that has died yet in their sins, without CHRIST, these people are destined for the lake of fire for all eternity... v 15 you see, these people are judged by there works alone for they rejected CHRIST. V 13 And the bible is very clear on the future for all who reject CHRIST.
(JN 3:16-19) ~JESUS LOVES YOU MR DARWIN, CHOOSE HIM AND LIVE. GOD BLESS YOU AND LEAD YOU~

Wow, sure sounds like a lot of death and destruction.
I know what will make you feel better, my brother.
How about a nice big bowl of Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel 4:9 brand cereal?
That crunchy goodness will chase those Revelation blues away.
Stressed out over who's going to be saved and who isn't? Why not try our Almond Flavored cereal? It's sure to 'fill you up' with God's love.
So try Ezekiel 4:9
It's what God wants you to do.

All will be judged by their works, but those who are saved have had their penalty paid. We are saved by faith in the fact that, though we deserve death, Jesus loved us and took the consequences for us.
Additionally, the bible says that faith without works is dead. If you truly have faith, you will act on what you believe. So your actions speak of your faith.

If you're trying to stump the "once saved always saved" group in here, I don't think they are a very large contingent. Most Christians know that they need good works to enter the "narrow way".
It's just the motivation that I disagree with. I don't "do good works out of fear, I do them because the love of God has been shed abroad in my heart and as I grow more like Him I have more love to give.

Faith without works is dead. However we can not get to heaven on works. Our works are for the Lord and to help others and believe on Him. You need to read the entire chapter of Revelation hwere it also speaks of those who were beheaded fpr the name of Christ and they reigned with God for the thousand years. This is referring to the second resurrection.

So it sounds like those in hell get a second chance to be judged , cool. 'cause I haven't caused any harm to anyone, other than emotional, and I'm sure I could slip through the cracks on that judgement of works thing, because I do help people whenever I can.

If you are coming from Hades to be judged, isn't it a bit late at that point? Shouldn't the judgment have come prior to expelling someone to Hades? Just a thought.

We are saved by faith (Romans 5:1).
We are not saved by faith alone (James 2:24).
It's not a difficult concept, as long as people approach it with an open mind.
The Bible speaks of us being saved by faith, by grace, by the blood of Christ, by works, and by baptism - which of these can we eliminate with God's approval? None of them - all are neccessary.
