You're religious. Deal with it. Oh, You're spiritual now. What 's the meaning of "spirtual"? There is no meaning. You just use the word when you dont know what else to say.

I'd like to get some facts and opinions on what created the creator. As you can see from this question : www.tinyurl.com/rrxno , I am an Atheist but I would like to see some information that people consider when they think about how their higher being was created. "He" had to come from somewhere.

I am fifteen and so far am considering two options.

one: Be a conservative republican politician, which we really need right now.

two: Be a scientist who will devout his life to disproving evolution and teach young people the truth of creationism.

I am putting this on this section, because I like this section.

To parahprase, Ecc. says that every man sins.
It is said that the only way to earn atonement for these sins is through sacrifice. It is said that today we have no sacrifices, so the only way to earn atonement is through the sacrifice of Jesus.
Now 1 kings 8:46-50 (to paraphrase) says that every man sins and there will be a time when they will be far away (and unable to bring sacrifices to earn atonement), and that in this circumstance if they pray & repent G-d will forgive them.
Both Kings and Ecclesiastes use almost the same exact phrase and are stated by the same author (as Solomon said this spech in Kings, and Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes). Kings is expanding on Ecclesiastes, and describes the exact circumstance that we find ourselves in today (sacrificeless). Kings offers the solution to the problem of sin w/o sacrifice - prayer and repentance.
Why draw another conclusion (the need for Jesus) from Solomon's statement in Ecc., when he himself clarifies his intent in Kings?

I just feel that humanity as a whole is underachieving in our ability to do good and prevent evil.

I see many trying to pick evolution apart by saying, "well where did everything come from?" They say we had to have a maker, so there must be a god, because something can not come from nothing. Well, when asked where that God came from, they say he is eternal. If something (god) can be eternal, that means that this thing would need no maker. So then things can be eternal. If so, then why do monkeys need a maker? Why could man have come from bacteria, and those bacteria be eternal? If god can be eternal, then that is saying it is possible for things to not have a creator, and if you believe that is possible, then why could man not be eternal. Same logic. Why could the universe not be eternal? Before you tell me I am going to hell, and quote the bible, just answer this. This is a question, not an attack. This is answers, so answer just my question.

This was after Jesus's death. In 36 A.D. there was a massacre of the Roman legions & the expulsion of the Sanhedrin. Made possible by Mary's wealthy uncle, Joseph of Arimathea. After Jesus' death, do you believe His mother lived the rest of her life in England and died there? This isn't in the Bible, except maybe the m assacre in 31 A.D.

Ezekeil 39:27 "when I bring them back from among the peoples, I will gather them from the lands of their enemies, and will prove my holiness through them in the sight of many nations."

This exact thing happened in 1948 when the state of Israel regained statehood following about 2000 years of Jewish exile!! Jews were allowed to return to Israel from all parts of the world!

I don;t have a religion, used to be christian, but I now beleive in one true God, everybody's god. But i'm losing faith, my prayers are never answered and when I really ask for help or pray for others nothing ever comes of it no matter how long i wait. I'm starting to hate either myself for beleiving or this universal God for not listening. I still use the word Amen at the end of every prayer too. Does this mean I'm making a Christian prayer?

I liked this question so much, I had to reask it!

"If I understand the story correctly, he wiped out a useless bunch of aliens, somehow they ended up on earth, and now scietologists spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get rid of these same aliens. Seems like lord Xenu was doing a good job, getting rid of problem aliens, but nobody likes him. What is up with that? Nobody wants these aliens around, so why is he a bad Lord for banishing them? Is it because he stuck the problem on us earthlings? I don't understand."

...and give me custody of my daughter, when I could have made a great dad. I love her so much. Now I won't see her again until she's 18. Fathers get no rights, makes me so angry at the law system. I'm so angry at God now, I doubt there is even a God at all, i'm just so angry at him/her if they do exist. I tried so hard but got nothing. Social service just look out for themselves nowadays to and do what they think will be the easiest thing for them. Not what bvest for family and my daughter.

The American flag stands for the fact that cloth can be very important. It is against the law to let the flag touch the ground or to leave the flag flying when the weather is bad. The flag has to be treated with respect. You can tell just how important this cloth is because when you compare it to people, it gets much better treatment. Nobody cares if a homeless person touches the ground. A homeless person can lie all over the ground all night long without anyone picking him up, folding him neatly and sheltering him from the rain.

School children have to pledge loyalty to this piece of cloth every morning. No one has to pledge loyalty to justice and equality and human decency. No one has to promise that people will get a fair wage, or enough food to eat, or affordable medicine, or clean water, or air free of harmful chemicals. But we all have to promise to love a rectangle of red, white, and blue cloth.

The American flag it's just a damn piece of cloth. It is NOT the entire country, any part of the country, or even a single citizen. Why is this so damn hard to understand for some people?
