If I ask God this question the only answer He gives me is, "I AM".

The answer he just "is" is the result of training the mind. The whole concept of "GOD" so often falls short of his glory. The Most High is surely worth this discussion. The Most High is the beginning and the end, He/She always was and always will be. It is the air we breathe, the earth we walk upon, the water we drink. The mathematics that we solve or attempt to solve. He/She is limitless and boundless; it is like trying to measure space and time. Sure we can put man made boundaries around the Supreme One but the true answer is that we can't. We are finite creatures bound by flesh and we are trying to classify and file The Infinite One. That is like a fish classifying the fisherman, what does the fish know beyond his conception. He can't survive beyond that which sets his limits and only knows the fisherman after his transition. This is the way we are in trying to understand The Most High.

God had no beginning, nor will He ever come to an end. No one created Him; unlike everything else, He has always existed. As the Bible says, "God ... is from everlasting to everlasting" (Nehemiah 9:5). The Bible also says, "I the Lord do not change" (Malachi 3:6).
This is an important truth — and one reason is because it means we can trust our lives into His hands and know He will never change or turn His back on us. He made us, and He loves us so much that He wants us to spend eternity with Him in heaven.
How do we know this? We know it because the eternal God entered time in the person of His Son, Jesus. May you and your family put Him at the center of your lives.

He had a Father, and his Father had a Father. It's not called Eternity for nothing. Of course Man can't just make children without the help of women, but out of respect for them, heavenly mothers aren't mentioned too often. (there's the commandment "Thou shalt not take my name in vain" out of respect for the Heavenly Father, but since he cares so much for his wife he doesn't even want her mentioned. How would YOU feel if someone swore with YOUR wife's name?) It's a never ending cycle. If we do what we're supposed to do, WE become gods and goddesses, and make families, like our god has and keep doing the same thing for eternity. I think it makes sense.

OK, this is basically impossible to understand but here it is. God always had been and always will be. There is no beginning to God. We have finite minds....everything has a beginning and an ending, hence why it's impossible to understand Go dnot having a beginning.

If you cannot comprehend how the earth and other planets go round the sun, how can your puny brain comprehend the creation of God?

God is a being of many of His/Her kind...together they form a "community" of sorts of pure energy. I like to think of our Creator as a rebel of His kind...separating Herself to actually experience that which He is...the others are quite happy being what they are, with no need for putting themselves into further action.
