In a long-awaited comprehensive scientific study on the effects of intersessory prayer on the health and recovery of 1,802 patients undergoing coronary bypass surgery in six different hospitals, prayers offered by strangers had no effect. In fact, contrary to common belief, patients who knew they were being prayed for had a higher rate of post-operative complications such as abnormal heart rhythms, possibly the result of anxiety caused by learning that they were being prayed for and thus their condition was more serious than anticipated.

Consider that the Jihad on american's abroad brought many nations to fight in both Afhanistan and Iraq. Why do you think Christians began the crusades to the Holy Land? How do you suppose we deal with religious differences? Which wars were started by religious beliefs, where those beliefs wrong in your view? If a belief system leads to a war, is it necessarily a poor belief system?

I'll start off saying that I am a Christian, yet I find that there are alot of Christians who are total jerks and simply downright offensive. Why is this? Didn't Christ say to love our neighbor?

I'd like answers from all sides of this issue (Christians, athiests, agnostics, jews, muslims, etc), but I would like everyone to be thoughtful in their answers.

Why do you waste your time debating with Athiests, when Scientology is a bigger threat to your beliefs an values. They are a cult full of secrecy, they are responsible for breaking into the IRS and destroying documents and spying on people who disagree with them. Alot of people make fun of it, and Tom Cruise is the butt of many jokes, but as you will see in the following videos, these people are to be taken seriously, and they need to be stop.... Warning:!!! Let us take a box and remove everything from it. What do we have left inside the box? Nothing. Nothing? Wrong, there is still something in it. Yep, you are right. There is still something called "gases" in it. Now let us take out ALL the gases from inside the box. There is nothing left in. Is there? There is something still inside. It is a strange matter called "space". I wonder what its made of. But we shall remove all the space from inside the box. Now there's now truly nothing left inside the box - as far as the science I know. Now we have here the TRUE meaning of "nothing". he-he-he.

Can anything exist in the box? No, obviously not because nothing can exist in nothing. For God to exist, does he not have to exist in some medium-call it space or whatever. Since even god cannot exist in nothing, he must need a medium and the medium MUST precede his existence. If a medium must precede his existence then he cannot be God as God must precede everything
else!!

Does this prove that the God those miserable earthlings pray to cannot exist?

When Jehovah's Witnesses knock a door and when a person answer the door. Jehovah's Witnesses not inroduce theirself that we are Jehovah's Witnesses then tell about their religion. If they are proud of that what they did then say it. Jehovah's Witnesses tell about god and jesus or whatever and not tell what type of religion they in practice. I believe that they try to trick us try to make that person interest in that stuff. Sometime they brain wash to another person to join their religion. They seem hide from people who they are and until later that person will find out. Unless person ask they what religon you are? Then Jehovah's Witnesses will say we are Jehovah's Witnesses. That mean Jehovah's Witnesses not that qualification and trust in god. I spoke of Jehovah's Witnesses's leader tell them to what to do. I not blame all Jehovah's Witnesses only their leader because leader control and brain wash to them, tell them how to take more people join us.

Explaining why the moon doesn't actually follow the 4 year old who says it does. After all, it APPEARS to be following him so, of course it must be.
Creationists are like this 4 year old. They believe what they believe and NO amount of scientific explanation will be sufficient for them.
They simply lack the intellectual capacity to understand.
