I respect everyone's beliefs, whether Theist or Atheist.

However, in response to this quote, it is a flawed argument because it is comparing two different things. Salvation is supposed to be the cure to sins, yes? Religion does not cause these things. People do.

Best wishes.

Whoa.....what a mind boggler. I get the salvation part, but atheism? It doesn't click for me. Why would you want to prevent the cure, you could spend eternal life in Heaven, why would you want anything else?

Salvation is the cure to the disease of sin that sends you to hell, atheism is the prevention of you ever attaining salvation!

Rubish...

I love this quote better

Religion is regarded by the common people are true; by the wise as false and (pay attention) by rulers as useful..

Ah religion how one can use it to hinder and violate the rights of others who do not believe or conform to the ideology of religion

Good quote from a radically different perspective. Depends on the person who reads-whether he is a believer or atheist. Athiesit may find it logical, while a believer may scorn at it.

Atheism is a religion. Thomas Jefferson said "beware of atheists, for they can be as zealous in their beliefs as the most ardent believer in god."

It is very difficult to be saved by something that you don't believe in.
