Isn't it Matthew 7:1 about thalt shall not judge? I believe Jesus loved and tolerated all, but I've yet to see any of his followers do the same thing...instead they love to threaten you with going to hell if you don't believe as they do. Why do people who worship someone as peaceful as Jesus seem so angry at others??

The Bible is not a science book...It is an EXCELLENT history book though...yet, The Bible explains our purpose while focusing on the future...while Science explains our reality by looking into the past> Both are fundamental to our being>right>

I believe 99% of all people are basicly good people. No matter what label they have; Christians, Atheists, Muslims, etc.

However, the R&S section seems to turn more and more into a "battle of the religions" (which i hate). I see lots of prejudiced questions asked by people, who are to me just bad representatives of Atheism, Christianity or Islam. I would not be happy if i had a label, and i had to defend my label based on others who claim to wear the same label.

I am an Agnostic, tending towards Atheism. I notice that sometimes i defend Atheists on questions that wrongly prejudice Atheism. Then i defend a label, instead of talking about my own beliefs. It makes me feel strange, somehow.

I was just wondering, in the "battle of the religions", do you defend your label mostly, or do you stick purely to your own beliefs?

To say that your standards are better than someone else's is too much like a religion, because that is based on opinion and philosophies, not on reality. Since without a god in an unthinking world, there is no objective judge to define what is "better", who are atheists trying to convince besides themselves?

After all, there are good Christians that suffer unbearable agony in life, and ***holes who make millions and have all the love and attention they need. There are also good Christians whose life is pretty peachy and the same ***holes who get what's coming to them. Seems to me it's a crap shoot.

they've not evolved and refuse to evolve and choose to blame satan for their mistakes instead of learning from them? Is that why they need confession all the time coz they keep repeating the same mistakes?

Why are constitutions written down under the blessings of 'Almighty God' and yet governments break most religious laws? They kill, imprison, deceive, and fail to uphold equality.

Why would you or do you consider home school? We home school and we do so for religious reasons as well as the fact that I feel I can provide a better more rounded education for my sons. I am wondering what others feel about this and would do.

So why are Christians so happy to claim that they are "God-fearing folk"? They claim to love god with everything they have, but they also fear him/her/it. I don't think fear and love go together.

And please don't answer this with bible quotes, or telling me I'm going to hell.

Could this have anything to do with all the religions on the planet? Where you blind your mind to everything else except what someone tells you, a priest, preacher, a parent. And also what is written in a book that is almost 2,000 years old. You aren't allowing your mind to grow and for you to become more aware.
