Have you'all heard of Pascal's Wager, he thought believing in God and leading a good life was the better choice over not believing.

When he died, he'd go to heaven, if he there was no god and he died, then 'no harm no foul' it didn't make a difference anyway. Therefore, the best wager was to believe. What do you think of this wager?

Its a trick question. We'll never know because no one has come back to tell is what the cut off point is for sin allowances.
I think the death bed repentence only works if you really want to believe it worked, and what exactly would you be repenting for...

You can sin all you want, if you repent, but the fact that you openly did it with no respect to the consequences proves you are unrepentant of such sins and will condemn you.

A death bed confession will probably not save you, it's possible but rare. Such a concept would have to infer that you were entirely ignorant of the type of life God wanted you to live until you were on your deathbed. Most people who would qualify generally come to a realization before they die that they wished they had been a better spouse, parent, child, sibling, church-goer, etc. and are truly sorry. It happens, but usually such people were already Christians, just not well-practicing ones.

Again if you intend on sinning and then coming to a deathbed confession and had already planned it, it won't save you cause God will see in your heart you are not truly repentant. However, if you truly were ignorant or lost and returned to God just before death you might be saved. We all die exactly when God intends. That is why people show their true colors before they die. If they convert to some other religion shortly before death, it shows they never really had faith in God, on the other side if they convert at the end to Christianity it shows that in their heart they do accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

None, zero, zilch. It's impossible to see God if you've sinned in even the smallest, tiniest detail.
That was the purpose of Jesus. To stand in for us and take the punishment we deserved so we would have a chance to spend eternity with God...if we accept the fact that Jesus did indeed stand in for us.
If you think not, oh well.
As to the follow up question: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." Galatians 6:7&8
Don't think you can play games with God. In the first place no one is promised a death bed. You could drop dead this very night. In the second place, God knows the intentions of your heart so He can't be fooled. You can "repent" all you want and if you're not serious and truly repentant you'll be speaking into thin air.
A lot of people make death bed pleas of repentance to God but I doubt that you are going to be one of them.

While a Christian can repent and by the blood of Jesus Christ have his sins washed clean, it is the judgement of Jesus Christ that will prevail. However, I am of the opinion that although sins can be forgiven this does not guarantee exaltation, namely heaven or where God dwells. Consider the life of Saint Paul. It took his entire life of positive, wholesome works, including the sacrifice of his own life, to offset his murder of Stephen and other Christians he had killed or harmed, so that a deathbed repentence without repented or remorseful makeup works, is purely ineffective and a mockery of the word repentence as no impure thing can dwell in heaven. Take care and God bless.

If you repent with all your heart, you can be forgiven from all the sins you did in the past, even if you are in dying and ask for repentance. But remember, when you die you're not going to Heaven you go to rest in peace till Jesus comes back down to judge us. We are suppose to live here on Earth for ever, some will go to Heaven to be with God the rest stay here in the new Earth, the new Paradise. Read: Psalm104:5, 1John4:8, Psalm133:3

None. One must accept Jesus as their personal Savior, confess their sins, repent and beg forgiveness for those sins, and then turn from sin.. As for a death bed repentance, how are you to repent if you are dying? Repentance means to go to the person you have sinned against and apologizing and begging for forgiveness. Going to heaven takes much more then repentance. One must follow the Commandments and having a relationship with God. One must believe in God and choose the path to eternal paradise with God.

Well, from what I heard, you can sin any number of times, and as long as you are truly sincere in your repentance, you will go to Heaven, no matter when you repent. Now, do I believe that, I'm not so sure. If you continue to sin, wouldn't that be proof enough that you're not being sincere? Secondly, why is it that just being born puts us in a position of not being allowed into Heaven?

Apparently quite a bit. Take a look at God's favorite people in the Bible. Paul had killed Christians by the thousands or maybe hundreds before becoming a Christian. The impression I get is that he went to heaven. Doesn't make much sense, but that's how it is.

You cannot get away with any sin. God sees and know what you do, what you are thinking, and what you are going to do. What is done in the darkness shall be revealed in the light. The only way you can atone for sin is to confess it and ask forgiveness. If you have any idea of sneaking into heaven, forget it.

You can "get away" with any sin as long as you ask for forgiveness and accept Christ as your personal Saviour. You can't go to Heaven otherwise. And if you have done that, you won't be worrying about which sins are ok and which ones arent. You'll just do your best to live a good fulfilled life.
