Why are constitutions written down under the blessings of 'Almighty God' and yet governments break most religious laws? They kill, imprison, deceive, and fail to uphold equality.

by 'laws' i am refering to the variations on 'thou shalt not kill' etc - all religions which are fundamentally based upon expanding the spirit, regardless, uphold the concept that we are all equal and all ultimately on the same journey, and that it is through following the laws of God, rather than man - that we may evolve spiritually.

Believe the laws that every religion agrees on, discard the rest as man made egotistical CR*P.
Basically:

1. Love yourself and your fellow beings.
2. Be true to yourself and your fellow beings
3. You are an immortal being at school and when you "die" you will return home. As any schoolkid will tell you, home is far nicer than school.

Allow me to begin by stating that your premise about all religions ultimately having the same laws is misguided. Almost all have nothing in common with the other. Some superficial similarities to be sure, but nothing substantive.

The main difference is that none of the founders of any other faith besides Christianity declared that they were God Incarnate.

Jesus said that He was the I AM. Buddha, Mohammad, Krishna, nor any other religious leader declared this. So, Jesus was either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord. He is what He says He is, or everything in Christianity is false.

The following verses are where Jesus said (in the original Greek) that He was Yahweh: Matthew 14:27, Mark 6:50, Mark 13:6, Luke 21:8, John 4:26, John 6:20, John 8:24, 28, 58, and John 13:19.

The Baha'is believe all (or at least most) major religions are all pretty good, but God sends new messengers about every 1000 years. So you can listen to the message of the old messengers, but the latest messenger has the newest, and therefore most correct way to serve God. I wouldn't necessarily say one religion is "greater" just "more applicable for the current age".

The messengers went something like Adam, Krisna, the Zooastrian founder, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed, and some Persian guys called the Bab and Baha'ullah.

Not that I believe any of this necessarily, but it is an answer.

Just because a constituion mentions God does not mean that the laws of that country are based on that god and the teachings ascribed to him. The only "constitution" written by God are the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuertoromy from the Bible. The people who tried to follow that constitution failed and because they failed they ended up "killing, imprisioning, decieving, and failing to uphold equality" It's not the laws that were the problem. It was the inablity of people to follow them because people are evil. People are the problem, not the laws.

It has more to do with the languages being split and scattered.

People desire to have significant differences of one person being greater than another. It has a domino effect on people as a whole.

If I was born in a rainforest and had never heard of Christianity, that does not mean that they have no place in God's world, otherwise they would not have life. As Sophie, I do not have the right to say over God's will that one person has a right to life and another does not. I am my neighbor. Even I get angered by the outright deception that has occurred because people wish to fight over money and use God as a platform. But it is not a solution to the problem.

Government is a business. Religion is about God and humanities relationship to God. Most people of the world have a desire to feel loved and accepted by God, and they are by having the gift of life. It is a precious thing.

People are drawn to places where other people are in which they feel like they can relate one another. Birds of a feather flock together. It is most difficult to reach out to our neighbors who do not think and feel the same as we do. There is a great wisdom in the concept of sturdy fence posts and not walls which divide people. If you go to a persons house and you are not welcome you should dust you're feet. This is easier said than done, most especially when you wish to protect to people you see being maltreated, and like wise when you wish harm to another it is also just as difficult to choose not to do so.

From the epistles of Paul, one should always consider whether or not what you are doing is needful. I heard someone speak this wisdom. I believe in it.

It is in our nature to have feelings and some of them negative. It is not natural necessarily, but something that is learned to not act on all of our feelings. Easier said than done. Something I do know is that if you are honest with God, he will walk you through it if you trust in him, irregardless of where you come from.

I personally have been a Christian since birth, but I know I have Hebrew and Greek and many other roots, and I have a common understanding with many of the understandings of Islam. Ultimately, I believe in IHVH. Does this make me without a home, a question I have asked myself alot? No, because no matter where I go I find God is present for me.

It's not a matter of one being better than the other, it's a matter of truth. I can see you do not understand Christianity. What makes it different than any other religion are the following:
1. You do not have to earn your way to God. It is not about what you can do because you can't do enough to find God in Christianity.
2. It is about trusting in someone who did it all, all that you could not do. It is a matter of trust rather than works. All other religions require you to earn your way on your own efforts/good works.
3. So if you want to try and earn your way on your personal good deeds then do not follow Christianity but some other religion. On the other hand, if you want to trust in someone who did it all, all that you could not do, then follow the Christian way.

You are so right, all religions started with similar laws and beliefs and have since changed, but I don't agree that one religion is necessarily better than the other. I believe that all religious paths lead to god and regardless of the religion if in your heart you truly believe and love him then in the end you will reap the rewards.

All religions do not have the same laws. The Bible teaches about Jesus, yet, about 20 religions are based off of the Bible. Any religion you folllow pretty much says the same thing, " all other religions are wrong". I guess only a few people are going to heaven then.

The best way I can try to answer the question is by sharing something shared with me about the difference between religion and spirituality:
1. Religion is for those who don't won't to go to Hell-Spirituality is for those who've been through Hell and don't want to go back;

2. Religion is man-made-Spirituality is God-given(whatever you perception of that Higher Being may be.).

Governments do whatever they can to preserve their power, whether or not it is legal. Its the way that the world works. And all religions do not have the same laws. Take for example Christianity and Satanism- two extreme opposites. But I get the point. All major religions all ultimately have the same ideas but different ways of getting their point across.
