I think this question should be directed to very devout Christians. I am Christian, I believe in God, but also evolution. I make mistakes every day and consider them a learning experience. Mistakes are what they are and I dont blame Satan, God, etc. They are my own fault.
As for confession, only Catholic Christians go to confession. I dont think any Protestant Christians go to confession. I guess they "confess" their sins directly to God. Confession is not part of every Christian religion.
There are so many different christian religions out there, some are much more devout and strict than others. I believe there is a God. I believe Jesus existed. I dont believe every story in the bible acutally existed. Most of them are just that, stories. Not every christian believes the same thing.

I believe in evolution and just so you know..., not all christians believe that you need to attend a church or repent every week, day, whatever. I talk to God whenever I want and I certainly dont need a priest or church to do that, I also solely believe that there's only one person responsible for mistakes that I make...., ME.
EDIT
I must say that you seem to have peeved a few people by asking this, to be honest, I dont know why so many people are getting so defensive. You have a right to your opinion and questions just like anyone else, I apologise for the abuse your recieving. As you can probablly see by the answers...., some Christians have evolved more than others:)

Don't get me started on this one. No. Good Christians don't believe in evolution. I, personally, don't know how they explain away all those Neanderthal and dinosaur bones. I am not an atheist but you cannot ignore science. The Christians believe that by accepting evolution they are denying God.
As for confession. Good Catholics go to confession on a regular basis because it is required of good Catholics. But that doesn't mean they always have something to confess. So instead of talking about the weather they make something up or repeat an old confession. Or they confess to something that's not even worth confessing. I guess it's good for the soul.

we don't blame satan for our mistakes, and I personally like to learn form them. we don't believe in evolution because know how the world was created and how humans were created. I really don't think it makes any sense that we all come from great apes. But your question does indeed seem like you think only christians make mistakes. everyone makes mistakes, which is why the sacrament of penance (confession) is such a great sacrament. God forgives us and we have a chance to start off clean with a clean soul. I like that about my religion. Have you ever made the same mistake twice. more than twice. somtimes science doesn't answer everything. thats where faith helps.

I am Christian.
I am just as evolved as you, perhaps more so intellectually for not asking such a bigoted question.
I do not blame Satan for all my mistakes, I'm reckless and clumsy enough to make mistakes without anyone's help.
I haven't been to confession in quite a long time, not because I haven't mad mistakes but because our original priest left and the new one is a bit delusional.
I hate making the same mistakes and thus manage to avoid doing it for the most part- new mistakes are more interesting, and it flexes my creativity to find new ways to mess up.

First of all Christians do not confess, that would be the Catholics. Christians do repent and we make the same mistakes over and over because it is part of the growing process God forgives of of the same sin 70 x7 because he is a merciful God. To err is human. The Bible tells us that all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Further more Satan is not the blame foe our actions we have a choice and most of the time we choose to fall into the trap Satan has planned for us causing us to sin. I will not say anymore cause it's over your head..

I’m a Catholic and I believe the theory of evolution to be both highly possible and probable. I don’t believe creationism belongs in the science classroom. Confession has nothing to do with repeating mistakes. All Catholics who wish to participate in confession must do so in a state of Contrition, “sincere and complete remorse.” Thus, through confession one reveals his sins and, with contrition, one should not repeat them. The problem with making genaralities is that they are usually unfounded. Try not to pollute your argument with personal bias. You may find others might be more accepting of your opinions if you have respect for theirs. By the way, Jazzy J72, Catholics are Christians.

the ones who blame satan for their mistakes arent in touch with what being a Christian really is. the ones who go to confession obviously dont read the Bible or havent understood its meaning. Being Christian doesnt mean we are above being human.
Maybe it's put better like this:
(not my own words, but ones i believe clarify the confusion of people getting the wrong message from Christians who dont practice the right way or who dont get that its more about loving the God who loves you...)
"When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I'm not shouting, "I'm clean livin',"
I'm whispering, "I was lost,"
Now I'm found and forgiven.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I don't speak of this with pride,
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I'm not trying to be strong,
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I'm not bragging of success,
I'm admitting I have failed
and need GOD to clean my mess.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, GOD believes I'm worth it.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I still feel the sting of pain,
I have my share of heartaches,
So I call upon HIS name.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I'm not "holier than thou",
I'm just a simple sinner
who received GOD'S good grace, somehow"

Actually many Christians do believe in Evolution.
I personally don't believe in the Evolution of Man because it has not been proven in the fossil record with many links between species.
I do believe in evolution within a species, which has been proven, but this type does not involve a simpler species evolving into a more complex species, which would contradict the Law of Entropy.

I am of the Christian Faith. I do not need to go to confesson because I am not RC. I do not blame satan for my mistakes, many that they are, and I do try to learn from them
I accept most of the evolution theory but not that man evolved.
