Scientology is not a threat. Any religion which bears fanaticism and terrorism is the threat. We should be only concerned with a threat for the humanity not a threat for any particular religion. Humanity precedes religion.

The difference between most religions and Scientology is that most religions in the United States allow for the coming and going of its members. Scientologists brainwash their followers when they first take their "communication courses". Free will is available through all of the rituals and rites of other religions, brainwashing doesn't allow for that, therefore the Atheists still have a chance of changing their minds and vice versa - Scientologists are brainwashed. Don't be confused - just because John Travolta and Tom Cruise and other celebrities are a part of this cult, it does not make it a voluntary religion. When they go into these courses, they are just as vulnerable as any other human being.

Scientology is based on a book by L. Ron Hubbard - a sci-fi writer. I don't know a lot about it, but they don't seem to be a danger. I won't watch your videos (and I thank you for the warning) but I hope there is something of a mistake here, since you seem so upset. John Travolta is also a Scientologist and he has wonderful things to say about it.
Here's what the site says:
__
Scientology is the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, others and all of life. The Scientology religion comprises a body of knowledge extending from certain fundamental truths. Prime among these:
Man is an immortal, spiritual being. His experience extends well beyond a single lifetime. His capabilities are unlimited, even if not presently realized — and those capabilities can be realized. He is able to not only solve his own problems, accomplish his goals and gain lasting happiness, but also achieve new, higher states of awareness and ability.
In Scientology no one is asked to accept anything as belief or on faith. That which is true for you is what you have observed to be true. An individual discovers for himself that Scientology works by personally applying its principles and observing or experiencing results.
Through Scientology, people all over the world are achieving the long-sought goal of true spiritual release and freedom.
__
That sounds reasonable to me and they are minding their own business.
Peace!

I never debated with an atheist until I got on this forum.
I guess I debate the atheist because I keep seeing them come out and saying that Christianity is a fairy tale. The Christians aren't putting down the atheists, but there are so many non-believers that just call Christians a bunch of awful names. They won't "debate", just put down our faith.
As far as scientology...I don't feel threatened by atheism or any other religion. My God is bigger than all of that.
If I tell people about Jesus, it's only because God is sad that that person doesn't love Him.

why would the persecute their fellow faith believers when there are still atheist left to turn or burn? After they are finish with us, then they will turn on each other. Both Pat Robertson and Falwell have accepted LARGE donations from the Rev. Moon, the Jesus incarnation of the Unification church. Remember back when the Moonies were considered a dangerous mind control cult? That was before they started giving large sums of money to greedy evangelical organizations, now they are alright.

you know it was Mao Tse Dung who said, "religion is the root of all evil".
that was back in 1958..and he's still right.
religion is a man-made belief in a system we do not comprehend. it is something invented by man back in the day.
don't take it too seriously.
i would be more concerned about day to day life and events that shape the world such as this recent Middle East fighting and North Korea mess we are in..along with Iraq, Iran and other crazy things.
it's a bit too much.

Why do athiest catagorize all christians? fat, white, republican-conservative christian.... Ive been a christian for over 15 years, and that i have met thousands of christians of all races, sizes and political denominations. I have not in any respect heard a christian ever bypass as a lot as somone and say " bypass to hell sinner" Im particular its surpassed off formerly, and have self belief me those human beings at the prompt are not "token christians" merely because each human being else says thats what they say, doesnt mean its authentic. possibly you would possibly want to get an opinion of your own.

I worked for some Scientologists,,,,,they were the most pathetic, low self-esteem, prejudiced, fearful & frightened people I have ever met; the word "brainwashed" comes to mind.
there is NO threat to Christianity because our King is already gone before us into the next life...

I agree-there are so many threats out there that I couldnt even begin to track them all though. Also, I believe atheists arent 100% sure of themselves or they wouldnt be on here having christians trying to convince them they are wrong.
