Only if Arabic is your native tongue.
My guess is that since Islam started in Arabic speaking countries, it was natural to only pray in Arabic. When other lands were conquered many converted to Islam and therefore learned Arabic. Since Christians, Jews and Muslims believe that we were created in the image of God, it is also natural for Arabs to gravitate to a belief that God is Arabic. It's wrong, but it's easy to see how that belief got started.

Ignorance is the worse enemy of humans. No we don't believe that, as God comprehend and understand every language but we pray in Arabic because the holy Quran is in Arabic and its translation by no means can match the original.

God didn't say whether we should pray in Arabic or not. What about the people who can't even speak a little of Arabic, will they go to hell even if they are "sinless" and prays in English? If it's true, what you say. Then it must really be absurd and unfair to have what we call as an Almighty God.

Sure it's true.

****************************
It's also true that God will hear your prayers clearly if you pray in English, French, Farsi, Dutch, Celtic, Scottish, German, Russian, Polish, Armenian, Romanian, Greek, Jewish, Slavic, Spanish, Indian, Hungarian, and every other language spoken.......

In fact, God knows our heart and hears clearly even if we don't say a word. The words are really more for us to hear ourselves because if we don't speak them, we often can't separate them enough to know what we really think.

Anyone can believe anything that makes them feel good about themselves. Unfortunately, it often makes someone else feel less than good about themselves. We really are all the same - even if some claim to be different. None more loved or less so.

No. That is the problem, all religions claim some form of exclusivity when it comes to defining "god." It is a sorry thing to see the multitudes waste so much time and energy on religion, the world's problems could be solved if there was not such waste of human thinking and effort. Religion is the root of all evil.

Allah is not an arab he created Arabs. Allah knows all languages (He is the creator). we do recite our prayers in arabic because it is more meaningful and we recite authentic verses from the Qu'ran. when u translate a language it loses meaning. we learn the meanings in whatever language we know and recite in arabic. the Qu'ran also rhymes in arabic so its much easier to memorize.

hope this helps! peace!
