Over the years, many people have changed the word that God had sent to mankind. People have continuously changed the word of God to fit their lifestlye. How can you be so sure that the bible is the true word of God after all that has been changed in it?

Why don't they use quotes from a real book of Catholic teaching like the Catechism of the Catholic Church or Baltimore Catechism instead of from a book supposedly called "The New York Catechism" (a book that I don't think ever even existed)?

This is not a question of believing or not believing, but of the Christian religion. Many Christians I know will openly admit that the Bible does not portray God as just and loving, and that even the religion is built upon horrible foundations. Is following a religion out of fear fulfilling to anyone? Would you follow Hitler if he was God because it's not your place to judge?

Why did Jesus adress God as Father in each recorded prayer except one, and yet in the Koran Jesus is called sinless, virgin born and a prophet and calling God father is said to be a sin.????
I find it a difficulty in reconsiling the texts of the Bible and Koran since Mohammed in the Koran said calling God father or saying he has a son is an unforgivable sin if both Isaiah and Jesus, two acknowledged prophets have clear texts where they as prophets called God father

how can this be reconsiled or should it? Clearly Isaiah preceeded the time of Christ by almost 7 centuries and the New Testament and Old both have consideral evidence showing their textual reliability that these are in fact statements of both Isaiah and Jesus

When we pass on information to another (example: story, joke, description of something etc) by the time these details are passed on by word of mouth, interpreted by others, and then written down, the final details are typically quite different than the original information.

Since the Bible is just a man-made story passed down over many years in various forms, surely the chance of it being accurate in any shape or form is remote?

There are people who swear blind that the Loch Ness monster exists regardless of all the evidence to the contrary, but a fence post bobbing up and down in the Loch does the trick. Similarly there are people who swear blind that God exists and the Bible is fact, yet there isn’t one blind bit of evidence to support such theories.

Don’t you think that Biblical tales are really no different than Loch Ness monster tales, just the era is different?
