Matthew 21:21:
I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
i understand the mountain moving part is likely metaphoric, but why do prayers to him by true-believers go unanswered? Im sure many true-believers have prayed for world peace or eradication of diseases, and many true-believing amputees have asked for limb regrowth yet it doesnt happen.
There are many other references in the New testament to jesus saying pray and he shall heal you or grant your prayers, he puts no limitations on what you can ask for....
