Prayer is a fine way to start. Also find a group you are comfortable with in your area that can help you get back on the right path. Surround yourself with good Christians...build a support system.

First, get rid of all the people in your life that might offer any different opinion. Surround yourself with like minded people to really drive home any doubts, however rational they may seem. Nobody said believing in irrational gobity **** was easy. Gods speed my friend. Soon, you will never doubt anything the bible ever again. Cept maybe just a few things.

Sounds like you have already taken the first step.
It is the same as when you first came to the Lord.

1) You see your need for a Savior.
2) You ask Him to forgive you.
3) Spend time reading the Bible. Go to church. Pray.
4) Do what He wants you to do, and stay away from what He wants you to not do. (As what is written in the Bible or if you have a personal relation with Him, what He tells you personally).

Be strong in the Lord.

There are many scriptures to read including the Bible, Torah, Koran and the sacred texts of Buddhism, the Hare Krishna, Zoroastrianism and Bah'i'ism, to name a few. It would not be a bad idea to read any of the above.

There are also many mass market books about religion and spirituality. Of course, as with all things, read what you choose but think for yourself, don't let anyone tell you what to believe.

The simplest thing is to begin by following the Golden Rule, common to all the major faiths of the world: do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Follow that one rule and you will never violate any law of God's.

You're on the right track...you've confessed..because we all sin. You should try and get yourself back into what ever religious setting you prefer. For example if you were a Christian, you would attend church and "rededicate" yourself back to God. It's not hard, the fact that you're looking to change is the hardest part. So many people "run" from God, but he's always there.

Good luck. I strayed..and I rededicated and I'm glad to have done so.

Stay prayerful

When first starting out as a new Christian my old pastor said to read 1st Timothy. So this chapter may help you get back on track. Once you start reading and praying about this, I believe that Christ will be more present in your life and you will feel his spirit more if you ask for a closer relationship with him. You are fine and you will be back on track before you know it. Try to slowly get back in the swing of going to a church service of your choice. Just do that and You will be glad that you did. :) God Bless!

I am so happy you are coming back to the Lord! He is happy, too. Read the Bible every day and pray! You can also join a church group you feel comfortable in for fellowship and help in studying! The Peace of Christ be with you.

Ask Jesus for forgiveness. He's waiting for you...

Religion is man's way of trying to reach God.

Relationship is God's way of reaching us; through Jesus Christ.

Once you have asked for forgiveness, start getting into the word (Bible) doesn't matter which version, pick one that you enjoy reading. I prefer the New Living Translation. I love the ease of reading it. You might consider getting a study bible if you don't have one already.

Next, find a Spirit filled church. Doesn't matter on the denomination. Only born again Christians will be getting into heaven, so the denomination doesn't matter. Make sure that the church you choose; urges you to have a relationship (with Jesus) and doesn't push "religion."

Grace to you and God Bless!

Search your heart and soul...believe in what you know...and it will all come to you. I have made it a part of my life, without feeling the need to go to church...but it can be a great source of fellowship. My trust and faith in things larger than myself have served me well. Just by expressing your desire...it is already known...and even as we speak...it is taking place. The very best part of the whole thing is knowing you are loved unconditionally...and it is very powerful. You will find your answers...I have complete faith in it (for both of us)...and you will be led to the right place or people for your spiritual development. I hope this helps you...and I'll say a prayer for you...for just these things. (Prayer is just talkin' to God and the pouring out of your soul.) God Bless...

You need to just tell the Lord you are sorry and ask His forgiveness. Get in a good Bible beleiving Baptist church, go whenever the doors are open, pray and read your Bible every day. Start reading in the book of John
