The Islamic principle of lying for the sake of Allah. Falsehoods told to prevent denigration of Islam, to protect oneself, or to promote the cause of Islam are sanctioned by the Qur'an, including lying under penalty of perjury in testimony before the United States Congress, lying or making distorted statements to the media such as claiming that Islam is a religion of peace, and deceiving fellow Muslims when the one lying has deemed them to be apostates.*

i've never faced to such things in Quran. Lying in "any case" is a sin in Quran. it depends on what u recognize as Islam. if you say the terrorists in Iraq, Taleban, or iranian government are the followrs of Islam, you are probably right. they are all lying and they think they are doing the right thing. but i believe they are not the followers; they use only the name of Islam to get power and to fool other people to follow them. from what i read in quran, i believe the western governments are more likely to be Muslem than those group i mentioned above. Don't prejudge and don't confuse Islam with the iranian government and the terrorists who believe they are truely Muslim.

lying was mentioned about 281 times in Quran , all of them as a sin ,except for only one time that it is allowed to save Ono's life ,if his life was threatened by unbelievers , he is allowed to pretend that he is a non-believer to protect his life ,see 16:105-106
in war lying is allowed also , to enemies of course.
there is a saying of the prophet Muhammad where he said that lying and falsehood is a great sin that could cause the person to great penalty .

Lying is only allowed to save one's life. The rest is not true.

There is only one verse which command us to lie to save our lives in Qur'an. The rest of the stuff is pure ignorance and hatred. I really am not surprise to see this hatred against Islam. They simply are illeterate ignorants who are spreading this hatred.

Bring it on if you have the proof what I said is wrong!!!
