Take, for example, the works of Philo Judaeus who's birth occurred in 20 B.C.E. and died 50 C.E. He lived as the greatest Jewish-Hellenistic philosopher and historian of the time and lived in the area of Jerusalem during the alleged life of Jesus. He wrote detailed accounts of the Jewish events that occurred in the surrounding area. Yet not once, in all of his volumes of writings, do we read a single account of a Jesus "the Christ." Nor do we find any mention of Jesus in Seneca's (4? B.C.E. - 65 C.E.) writings, nor from the historian Pliny the Elder (23? - 79 C.E.).

If, indeed, such a well known Jesus existed, as the gospels allege, does any reader here think it reasonable that, at the very least, the fame of Jesus would not have reached the ears of one of these men?
Matthew 2 describes Herod and all of Jerusalem as troubled by the worship of the infant Jesus. Herod then had all of the children of Bethlehem slain. If such extraordinary infanticides of this magnitude had occurred, why didn't anyone write about it?

I would just like to know why people cannot read the complete question when you post it?
I asked one, and not one person answered the actual question. Why is that?
is it that people are to busy rushing through everything to take a moment to answer a darn question.

I hate to dis my religious friends but I've really noticed that usually the more religious they are the worse they do in school, and they always seem to blame it on God that they are the way they are. "God made me dumb", they say. Or, "since I got an F, this is the way it's supposed to be, because God plans everything". To me is sounds like a bad excuse. What do you think, religious thinking correlates with lower intelligence?

45From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land.
46About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" (There is more but I am not listing for sake of space.)

From my experience I know that Christians think it was because God had to abandon him and put all mans sin on him to make him a sacrifice. Also that he was quoting a Psalm ( 22:1 ) to show he was the prophesied.
Now this sounds more like he just realized that God wasn't there and wasn't about to save him to me.
Now my question. How do I know that the Psalm wasn't put in after? That it was not just a poem about his death seeing as the book was written over a period of time, not all at once, and placed together when the bible was made. The entire religion is based on the bible and there is no way for me to know that it is legit after all it's changes.

Don't get offended just tell me your thoughts on it.

I believe that even those that believe in Jesus may partially agree with me. Currently there are countries that are ruled by religion that are refining uranium. History has shown that religious fanatics will use the most powerful weapon at hand to quell the infidels. Now that they have uranium, it is only a matter of time before someone kills us all in the name of their god in a bunch of atomic mushroom clouds. I personally would hope that this is a wake up call to Christians. In the end, the religious fanatics in the Middle East will actually hinder the human race. Is that what god compels you to allow? If that is not the case, then why are there so many Christians opposed to the war in Iraq?

I've heard of:
1. Mormons wear magic underwear - gives them supernatual power.
2. Pentecosts dance with rattlesnakes to prove their pure spirit.
3. Chrisitan scientists won't go to doctors.
4. Some Protestants believe the Pope is the anti-christ.
5. Some observe the Jewish sabbath.
6. They all think they're the chosen ones.

Any others?

If you believe Bible then you must believe the authority who put the Bible together (Catholic Church). According to the Bible, the CHURCH is the pillar of truth: 1 Tim. 3:15, 2 Peter 1:20. We need the church to interpret scripture, not us or else...30,000 christian denominations. thoughts>

At least atheist know what they believe. There are so many people calling themselves Christians who are not sure what the religion really is or only follow half or very little of the teachings. I respect atheist and Christian fundamentalist alike. If you are going to believe in something, believe in it all the way.
