I've heard of:
1. Mormons wear magic underwear - gives them supernatual power.
2. Pentecosts dance with rattlesnakes to prove their pure spirit.
3. Chrisitan scientists won't go to doctors.
4. Some Protestants believe the Pope is the anti-christ.
5. Some observe the Jewish sabbath.
6. They all think they're the chosen ones.

Any others?

I am a "born-again" believer because I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Personal Saviour. THAT is simply according to the Word of God (the Bible).
1.) "Mormons" are not "Christians" to Christains. 2.) "Pentecostals" live by "experiences" rather than "by faith". 3.) "Christian Scientists" wrongly apply "law" to "grace". 4.) Those of #4 are wrongly "speculative". 5.) The "some" of #5 are called "Seventh Day Adventists". and 6.) ONLY those who are truly "IN CHRIST" are the "chosen ones"...as "Israel" is the "Chosen Nation". I hope this "clarifies" just a little...or just a lot.

Religion, at least modern religion, is weird by it's very definition. Magic underwear? When i was 12 i had a crush on the King of All the Mormons, Donny Osmond, so i researched the religion. The "garment" is more for purity and chastity.

I would like to remove from your list #5 and # 6, and replace them with:

5. Ghosts being the souls of dead persons.
6. Christmas, December 25, is the birthday of Jesus.
7. Homosexual practices are acceptable to God.

The christian belief that A God that IS love would burn any one in a fire, & A God that is Just, would not find any crime that would equal a eternity of punishment, maybe those who hurt children, but they dont deserve to live forever even if it were while burning. I think that belief causes alot of people to become athiast, because of the fear they could never be perfect enough to go to heaven & in turn would be tourtured by a loving just God 4ever.

How about "Jesus is God."

By the way -- I have met a Christian Scientist who does not go to doctors. I'd like to meet a Mormon with magic underwear.

5. Not that weird. Christ was Lord of the (Jewish) Sabbath.
6. Not all of us, some of us accept our plainess and non-importance (of course, those are the good ones who usually ARE the chosen ones :)

i recognize that Jehovah's witnesses do not settle for the idea of the Trinity, both. this is no longer that we believe that Jesus is God's son- this is that we do not believe in the Trinity that many "classic" Christians take difficulty with. We believe that they are 2 separate beings, operating in unity to succeed in a similar purpose- like a husband and spouse. they believe that they are 2 aspects of a similar being, like my id as spouse and daughter... i imagine. i quite do not get the total trinity theory, yet whats up, to each and every his own.
