I would just like to know why people cannot read the complete question when you post it?
I asked one, and not one person answered the actual question. Why is that?
is it that people are to busy rushing through everything to take a moment to answer a darn question.

I simply asked for clarification and opinions on Islam being a peaceful religion. I was stating that I hear this alot but I recently recieved a email that showed a 8 yr old boy getting his arm Crushed, not cut off, because he stole something, they did not way what it was. I was not trying to be rude or mean but wanted to understand the reason behind this type of punishement compared to what I hear that it is a peaceful religion.

You need to edit your posts. You can say the same thing with far fewer words. This will make you're questions easier to read and certainly more inviting. A good edited question deserves a good answer. EDIT EDIT EDIT

When you ask a question, make it pithy and to the point. If you don't get an answer you like right away, seek a new audience by changing the category and ask the question again, perhaps a little more concise the second time. Then do it again, if need be, using the same technique. Don't dispare though. Keep at it.

I have experienced this a lot, though not necessarily here. I think that people are so eager to talk about a part of your question that they think they know a lot about, that they don't actually read the whole question. Note that if this ever happens again, you have the ability to refine your question and add details. You can use this to criticize people answering your question and point out the actual content of the question you are interested in.

I'm not saying you did this, but a lot of people post questions longer than War and Peace. If you have a question, just ask it. But many people spend ten paragraphs explaining the history of the world first, or they spend ten paragraphs answering their own question before they ask it. Or they spend ten paragraphs insulting a politician and then ask a lame question like, "Do you like him?
We're looking to answer a question, not read an essay.

I think people just read the initial question and don't bother to read the added info below it. That drives me nuts, too.
I've started putting "teasers" in the opening LOL, like one question I posed was, "My 15-month old is escaping from her exersaucer, but..." and then I finished the question below it. Gotta be sneaky I guess!

There is no need to read your entire question. when you mention Islam and peaceful in the same sentence. It can be answered rather quick and accurate.

many times a question is too long and a person doesn't won't to read it. one of the rules in the guidelines it to make it short and simple.
I always take the time to read a person full question. but many others may be losing interest in your long question

Sometimes you answer doesn't get immediate attention, then falls farther down the queue, making it less likely someone will answer. Ask it again, or try a different category.

yes. Some only come on here to get points and don't really care what the question is as long as they get their two points. Some come on here just to slam others. Some come on to be real. What was your question yesterday?

maybe your question does not make sense; or maybe your question was not interesting enough to warrant an answer.
Keep working at your questioning; people will respond to your queries sooner or later.
