Too late. She is one when she is smart enough to ask that! Engage her in rational discussions, if you're able.......

LEt her now. Becomming agnostic is just exsiting. You do not get babtised, or have a rtiual. You are just here saying there is no way to know if there is a God or not. There is an agnostic church, but that defeats the purpose and meaning of agnostic in my opinion.

I have two children ten and thirteen. We have open discussions about religion all the time. When they began to ask questions of about God, I would tell them my view and then ask them what their view is. If it was different I told them that it is a good thing that they are thinking for themselves. I encourage them to branch out and ask hard questions about spirituality and religion so that they can find out what their own path is. My daughter doesn't believe in hell, and I encourage her to believe in what brings her peace. Same with my son, whatever his views on God are, I embrace them. I am blessed with being able to watch them bloom as human beings, and it is a very exciting thing to get to witness.

Any age if she can read. i think its not really for you to decide. its her choice and hers alone. just protect her from the things that will physically harm her. I think you are great to give the freedom of religion and not shove your own views down her throat. My mother did that for me and as an adult i cant thank her enough for allowing me to be free in this aspect of life.

I let my daughter pick hers when she was 13 years old. In my religion you are old enough to pick at that age. She has stuck with it and is adding another belief to it. I think it is important for all kids to be introduced to a variety of religions at a young age so that they will be ready to pick one when they are old enough.

As soon as they make the conscious decision. You can't stop someone from chosing something like that. If you try, eventually they will only tell you what you want to hear and believe the way they want anyway.

How old is your kid....Mine, I'll let them choose once they choose to move out and become accountable....but if what they choose I don't like, I'll be all up in their cheese....and when they disown me, too bad, I'd ride their butts about it...

Each person will believe whatever it is they believe, regardless of what religion you suggest they are.
