I am certain that I could. It's simply the propaganda of the faithful that atheists "really do believe in god." It's just not true.
Hook me up.

Lie detectors don't work. All they do is report recorded measurements of your heart rate and blood pressure and things like that. They are very accurate at telling when someone is nervous, they are horrible at actually detecting the truth. If you take a lie detector test and you experience any intense emotions, they will be recorded as such and analyzed as "lies." So your question doesn't actually lead anywhere important as regards atheism.

Rayndeon is correct: Lie detectors don't detect lies, they detect anxiety and fear.
Therefore, strictly speaking it's impossible for anyone to "pass" a lie detector test. The machine is just as useful as sticking magnets in your shoes to improve your health.

I've heard that lie detectors measure your heart rate, temperature and sweat...
I've often wondered. If you stick me in a small windowless room with a machine stuck to me and a big white light bearing down on me, with two chain-smoking cops hollering accusations at me, I imagine the needle on the machine would be moving like a madman as soon as I told them my name...
It wasn't easy for me to 'come out', and I faced a lot of accusations. I think that a small part of me still reflexively 'flinches' when I answer that question, for fear that the person asking will attack me. I wonder if that reflexive action is picked up by the lie detector?

Yes, I could easily pass a lie detector test about my beliefs, or lack thereof. Why wouldn't I be able to?

a lie detector measures if your heartrate increases when asked a question, if you can keep a straight face and keep you heart rate at the same speed anyone could pass a lie detector

Atheists have no beliefs, no morals, no feelings.
Passing a lie-detector should be extremely easy.

I could. I speak the truth from my heart. Jesus was a great teacher. If only some of his followers would do as he did rather than condemn people for not believing what they believe. Buddha was a great teacher. He did not say to make a religion on the scale of the Catholic Church. Mohammad was a great teacher. He told people to seek God not kill everybody who wasn't Islamic. God is in charge. God doesn't have a face, speaks in any language known to man, and doesn't care who you sleep with as long as you do it out of love. We are all here to help one another and that doesn't mean for me to make you believe what I believe. In fact, I don't care what you believe in as long as it doesn't mean harm to any sentient being. To me, all human killing is wrong and there is no excuse for any war. It is always for one thing and one thing only-greed- the greatest sin.

Yes I could. Funny to base whether or not someone has morals on whether or not they believe in a higher being, considering how many murderers, child molesters, and crooks in general believe. No I am not insulting all religious people, I judge people on their personality not their religious beliefs.
