here's what i don't get. if a baby dies when it's one day old (or a still born, or a miscarriage, or aborted), then everybody says it'll go straight to heaven.

but then if i ask why we can't ALL just go straight to heaven,,, like,,, why do we have to come to earth first, then people give tired, old duality answers. like,, "you can't know warmth until you've felt coldness", and stuff like that, implying that heaven won't be QUITE AS GOOD unless you've felt a little pain first.

so my question is, by that logic, are these babies going to be able to enjoy heaven even though they don't know what pain and suffering is?

if the answer is YES, then my other question remains: why can't we ALL just go straight to heaven??

if then answer is NO, then i have to ask, why does god allow such young babies to die then? and why does he bother taking them to heaven if it's not going to be pleasurable to them??

hmm, sigh, something tells me i'm gonna get a lot of answer that totally miss the point.

Just asked a question and a couple hard core Atheist said they believed exterrestrial life could exist. Buy how can you believe this? You've never seen one. Can you give me proof they exist? How in the world can you believe in something you can not see, or Smell, or touch? HOW?

Why are you atheists even here? You say you don't believe in God, then why are you in the religion/spirituality section? First of all, atheist is not a religion because in order for it to be a religion it has to be about faith. You don't have faith that there is a god therefore it can't be a religion. And second of all, it has nothing to do with spirituality either because God is a spirit and you don't believe in God so you can't possibly believe in spirituality and if you do you are just contradicting yourself. So, why are you here?

Think of innocent babies dying of cancer,malaria etc. Thousands of daily accidents to children, indiscriminate destrucion and death from volcanos, tsunamis etc.

The Christians will probably say it is God punishng us for our original sin! What? Punishing us for 180,000 years...? What kind of monster are you describing? And was not Christ supposed to have paid with his life for that? Nailed alive on a cross. What an incredibly cruel way to treat one's son!

I do not know the Muslim explanation and I would like to have their views Also those of other religions. They cannot be as illogical as the Christian ones, but one never knows.

My whole family is LDS, except my dads family, and I have recently found the Catholic church and after learning and praying about it for a long while, and also talking to one of my teachers who was in a seminary to become a priest for 2 yrs, I believe it to be the right church. I also believe the LDS church to be mislead, and I told them this.

I understand that they don't want me to leave a religion they think is right, so I can't be Catholic church until I'm 18. I'm ok with that. It just gives me more time to learn and I'm content it will work out in the end, but this is driving me nuts. It's war everytime even the smallest mention of anything related to religion comes up. My stepdad, mom, and sister have all started calling me a horrible person because I wear a cross. They are constantly trying to prove me wrong and I'm tired of it. I'm afraid that they will stop talking to me after I leave the church, yet that's what I'b beginning to want because of their behaviour.

What do I do??

Think about it. Gays are ridiculed by others, shunned by family, hated by politicians, and generally looked down upon by society. Who would CHOOSE that?? Is it not possible that they were born this way??
I can think of no other reason for you to not beleive that they can be born this way, other than to think it is part of your religious dogma - if God creates everything on earth, then that would mean he created gays...and he could not possibly have done that, since its a sin to be gay, so being gay is a choice and not something born into someone. Is that how you think??

For that matter, how can you believe that God "creates" something like a child that lives for only hours prior to dying from some horrible disease. Why would God do this? What lesson did the child need to learn? Perhaps the parents needed a lesson - at the expense of a child's life? What is the purpose of such a heinous creation???

i dont want any thing that says if you have a rabbit in you dream if means this, or if theres a fox it means that. i got a books like that and it was worthless,sense i have never seen ether one in a dream as far as i know. i will tell you what my dreams are like. last night i had a dream where i was in a white room no windows or door, than a bit later i saw a cross with a church at each of the 4 arms. that dream was all black and white if i rember correctly
