here's what i don't get. if a baby dies when it's one day old (or a still born, or a miscarriage, or aborted), then everybody says it'll go straight to heaven.

but then if i ask why we can't ALL just go straight to heaven,,, like,,, why do we have to come to earth first, then people give tired, old duality answers. like,, "you can't know warmth until you've felt coldness", and stuff like that, implying that heaven won't be QUITE AS GOOD unless you've felt a little pain first.

so my question is, by that logic, are these babies going to be able to enjoy heaven even though they don't know what pain and suffering is?

if the answer is YES, then my other question remains: why can't we ALL just go straight to heaven??

if then answer is NO, then i have to ask, why does god allow such young babies to die then? and why does he bother taking them to heaven if it's not going to be pleasurable to them??

hmm, sigh, something tells me i'm gonna get a lot of answer that totally miss the point.

No, Babies do NOT go to heaven, they go to hell. The only way to go to heaven is to accept Jesus into your heart as Lord and savior, believe in him and confess with your lips. Since babies have not done this, they go to the same place that those who've never hear the gospel and those who can not speak go, eternal torture in hell with no hope of parole or salvation. But don't worry, the bible promises us that god will remove our ability to feel sad in heaven, so we will not suffer for knowing all those babies are suffering in hell. So get out there, and stop all the abortions you can in the name of Jesus.

The babies suffered in their final hours - maybe not consciously but to some degree still felt pain. Hence, they will still feel the pleasure of heaven. Hence, babies do go to heaven when they die and this is a good thing. We all don't go straight to heaven because if we did there would be no grown ups to make new babies. He allows such babies to die as part of the pain is for the mother and father who lost the baby, hence, when they finally go to heaven the mother and father due to the pain of losing their baby get the pleasure of heaven.

I think babies go to heaven when they die. A person has to make a choice about God, but they can't do that until they recognize that they are a sinner and that God can save them. Since babies can't do this, I think that God lets them come to heaven. They haven't had the time on earth to really sin. Yes, babies are amazingly self-centered, but that's just their survival instincts. If they didn't demand to be fed, they'd die.

I don't think that pain and suffering on earth have anything to do with what heaven is like when we die. I think that if you believe that Jesus died for your sins and was resurrected on the third day and ascending into heaven, then you'll go to heaven and that it will be wonderful because that's God's home and he made it wonderful. It won't be any better for one person because they suffered more during their time on earth that someone else. It's the same for all of us.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think there is a passage in the Bible that indicts that to a certain age, children are not accountable for their actions, and should they die before they reach that age, then they will go to heaven. But once they reach that age, if they do not confess their sins and accept Jesus as their Savior, then they won't go to heaven.

I think that when babies die they go to heaven as they have not yet had a chance at life to deserve to go to heaven. As for why they die, i think a possible reason may actually be that it is god's plan and that the death of the baby is going to help the parents in some way... teach themto feel pain, emapthy for others, etc. The reason we cannot all go straight to heaven is because if we have had a chnace to live on God's earth and we know what he wants from us, if we disobey that then we must not be able to go to heaven for not living a goddly life... be it christian or any other religion.

If we all just went straight to heaven, we would not have free will. Basically, God gave us free will, because he didn't want to force people to love him; He wanted them to chose to love him. Therefore, we have to have the opportunity to chose. However, the bible talks about an age of accountability. You can't expect an infant or young child to be able to understand the ramifications of chosing or not chosing God. Thats why Christians believe that babies and young children go to heaven when they die--God created them, yet they were too young to chose evil, so he takes them back. Why do babies die? The world is under control of the evil one. Bad things happen, and it's not that God causes them, but he allows them to happen.
No, I don't believe that heaven will only be good because we've experienced the earth first. Heaven is being close to God. The bible says we can experience heaven to a certain extent here on earth by being close to God. Earth is the place where we chose how eternity is spent, but its not meant to accentuate the experience. I don't think we'll be sitting up in heaven, thinking about how our terrible experiences on earth just really make the heaven experience seem that much better. Heaven is going to be good, regardless of our prior experiences.

Yes, they go to Heaven. They are without sin. Just like when the rapture happens all the babies and young children will be taken because they do not understand and are not old enough to know the difference between right and wrong and are not able to fully understand what it means to be saved. Babies go back to Jesus because they obviously have no sin in their lives. I do not know why they die, maybe it wasn't time for them to be here. Why would they not enjoy heaven? There is no age in Heaven. We are not in the bodies we have now.

Yes, babies will enjoy heaven just as much as anyone else.

No we can't all go straight there, there is more involved. The real question there is why people go to heaven in the first place.

BTW, God's intention is for all of us to go to heaven. Some choose not to go by rejecting the free one way ticket that God gave them - Jesus. Which direction are you heading?

Babies go to heaven. They probably experianced pain when they died (miscarried stillborn or aborted) and if they didn't it wouldn't matter you don't have to feel pain to appreciate life. That's just something people say to make themselves or others feel better. We all can't go straight to heaven because we actually have ask for forgivness for our sins before we can (a baby wouldn't have ever commited a sin so they get a free ticket). God gave people the ability to choose him. Hell isn't a punishment and heaven isn't a reward. Hell is the absence of God and heaven is pure love. I hope that answers your question.

There is a concept called the age of decision, which I belive is backed up scriptually I just can't find the refernce right now. Anyway the Idea is children who die before they are capable for fully understanding right from wrong and accepting Christ still go to heaven.

Your questions seems to be, Why can't we all die before then, I belive the reason for this is it wouldn't bring as much glory to GOD. The reason we live on earth is to show that God is so great, that even though we have free will and the devil, our flesh ( sinful nature) and the curuption of the world are consitantly disracting some of us recognize God for who he is anyway ( not because we're special but because GOD is so awesome) and make efforts to live for him in this corrupt world.

So every time you choose not Sin and every time you do something for the sake of GOD you bring more Glory to him. So if we all died went to heaven right away there'd be no one left to to bring glory to him.

You're asking a question that God hasn't given us the information to understand. On Earth as mortals we can only guess what God chooses to happen for those that pass quickly. Somehow we assume that our spirit is only complete once we pass into childhood. I would beg to differ based on what I have learned from scripture (but won't quote).

The bigger question might be, where are we before we are born?

For the people answering that babies born haven't sinned, that isn't true. You are forgetting original sin which happens during conception. We ALL have sin, with the exception of Jesus (who wasn't really conceived like us...).

Sometimes I wonder if we aren't all conceived with the knowledge of God, Christ, and his love but come into this world it is hidden from plain operating knowledge. On Earth you have the ability to renounce it, sadly. Perhaps he wants to keep the strong ones? I really wish that all could go to heaven....

Babies go to heaven right away when they die because they are not old enough to comprehend God, heaven, etc. They don't know any better. The reason we all can't just go to heaven is because, yes, you do have to feel the cold before you can feel the warm. You were given life and after you are old enough to understand God, heaven, sins, etc. you are responsible for your salvation.
