An athiest doesn't believe in God, they believe in evolution which was created by time, not by God. The universe is so expanse that it is hard to believe that Earth is the only living planet out there. So, evolution had to of occured somewhere besides Earth, thereby creating aliens and UFO's. To those aliens, our rockets are UFO's.

The universe is really really big...so big that's it's beyond what the human mind can imagine easily. If life on earth developed through a natural process odds are somewhere very far away the same could have happened on another planet. I've never seen a UFO and don't think aliens have visited the planet. However, the likelihood of aliens existing is fairly high. Basically, it's a hypothesis of aliens based on the observable existence of life on earth combined with how big the universe is.
I'm maybe not a normal atheist...I actually wouldn't necessarily require the see, smell, touch sorta proof of god...a solid logical proof would be enough for me. I have to be realistic afterall...but for such a logical proof to exist it would pretty much have to be divinely inspired...philosophers have tried for centuries without much success.

Because Atheists have the ability to THINK for themselves, without being told what they should beleive or not.
It is a FACT that microbes have been found in fossilized form on other planets (such as Mars rocks). Now, as a thiking, intelligent person, I can take this information and apply it to my outside world - if life exists here today, and microbes have been found on other planets, then life could exist elsewhere in the universe, because microbes are a form of life. We arent saying that these microbes fly UFOs, are intelligent and are planning a hostile takeover. Just that this is possible.
However, anyone that thinks about the Bible and the stories of God, creation, etc. SHOULD be able to to see that there is no truth to be found. Im not saying that the Bible doesnt have any good parables or stories to learn from. Im just saying that it isnt fact. Jesus was not born to a virgin - no one in the history of the world has made a virgin bear young without impregnating the virgin first. Jesus did not die on the cross and then come back to life - no one in the history of the world has died and come back to life. Its just not possible. Moses idd not speak to God on a mopuntain top and take forty days to bring ten commandments down from God to the people....he was either high on something or had some mental issues, thought he was talking to God, and took 40 days to carve teh shyt himself.
I could ask you the same thing - how can you believe in something you cannot hear, smell or touch? FAITH is your answer! What if I told you I had faith that UFOs and aleins exist?? Does that make it RIGHT??????

The universe is so vast that the possibility of extraterrestrial life becomes an almost certainty. This is not to say that I believe in the UFO phenomenon, but I am certain that there is life on other planets. This is not so hard to swallow.
When you talk about god, you are discussing a formless, all powerful entity who cares whether or not I sneak a peek at some bare legs on the subway. This I find impossible to believe.

There is a VERY big difference between saying extraterrestrial life COULD exist and believing in UFOs.
One is acknowledging a perfectly reasonable POSSIBILITY (and just because life may have evolved elsewhere DOES NOT imply that it has attempted to visit this planet in the form of a little green man). Similarly, a lot of atheists will agree that it is POSSIBLE that god exists, but unfortunately there is no evidence that he does so they don't believe in him/it.
And I would hazard more people who believe in UFOs believe in God than don't.
In any case, your question is seriously biased. Not everyone takes things on blind faith(least of all most atheists).

I think for a couple of reasons. Many people like to see proof of things before they believe. There is a lot more physical evidence out there for UFOs than there is for God, i mean photo's etc.
Also extraterrestrial life is is a thought which can come by logically in anyone who does not think that life was created by some white bearded fellow in the clouds. With evolution being used by people to explain the progression of life, its no wonder they apply this model to other planets.

Well there are so many planets in the universe, how could we be the only one maintaining life. It just doesn't make sense. I'm not a hardcore ufo believer but there's a possibility of their existence. I don't believe in God because there is too much science that is unable to back him up. I am also Native American and christianity was a western belief that was drilled into the minds of Natives because of pure ignorance but I don't believe it.

I have seen things in the sky. I know they are meteors, or satellites but don't know which. That means I can't identify those flying objects. Thus they are UFOs. No I don't think that there are aliens, but it would be easier to believe than god. We have videos of lights in the sky/crop circles. When it comes to god, you have some old book saying that he is floating up there watching you even though you can not see him. Some may believe in UFOs and not god, because they go on what they can prove, and a crop circle is a start, where an old book is a joke. Like I said I don't believe there are aliens, but am open to it, because it is possible, and the idea of god is ridiculous. One theory says that micro organisms came to earth on meteors, and evolved, which is possible if not likely. Aliens and god were both made up to make us feel like we are not alone.

They believe in unidentified flying objects? Who doesn't. You see a object flying, you don't know what it is so it's a UFO.
Believing that there may be life in the vastness of space is entirely different to believing that earth has been visited by said life.
You'll find that a lot of us accept the possibility of life on other planets because most athiests agree with the theory of evolution.
If evolution happened here on earth it's possible that that the conditions were right for it to happen on other planets. ie there's evidence it happened here therefore it's possible it's happened elsewhere.
There's no evidence for your gods existance. I actually really hope there are aliens out there, and I hope they visit in my life time just so i can see you guys try and figure that one into your religious beliefs.

considering how many celestial bodies are out there, its possible that extraterrestrial life can exist. the problem is that you, most likely an uneducated theist, dont understand what "extraterrertrian life" means.
extra = above or beyond
terrestrial = earth
life = anything living
so extraterrertrial life could be anything living above or beyond the earth.
its possible that there could be some form of bacteria or small animal...or hell...complete ecosystem on another planet. the odds are good. billions of stars with even moe billions of planets...and this is the only one with life? come now...were not that lucky.
UFO = unidentified flying object, it doesent mean little grey aliens that abduct you and stick things up your a*s. it means things that are unknown that are flying in the air.
get your stuff strait before you comment.

because the universe is a very very very very large place, to think that this is only place in the whole universe that life developed on is quite silly, and arrogant.
(edit) the earth is *only* 4.5 billion years old, the universe is 14.7 billion years old. We're a young planet still. There's got to be older life forms in older galaxies, but since they're 100's of millions of light years away, we'll never know.
ps - "life" on other planets could apply to simple lifeforms like cockroaches and tadpoles. Believing in "life" on other planets does not mean believing in UFO's. The people who claim to have seen them here are crackpots.
