drugs like ecstacy, psychotropical things..
it makes us relax.. and somehow 'enlightened'.. seems like we're flying.. we're one with the universe..
well i don't say drugs is good.. when the feeling caused by it is one of God experience..
and they said that with practice we can reach that experience without using drugs anymore..
i'm not kidding.. i'm serious...

have you ever use drugs ? what does it feel ?
could it be said as God experience ?

The message in all religions is the same..man has to do something to make his way to God. Be good, do right, avoid bad, punish the body in hopes of winning God's favor. It is about the good work of man, his efforts, his earning his way to God. Christianity is not about man working his way to God, but God working his way to us, so to sppek. Man's work means nothing as far as getting God's favor. Jesus was perfect and nothing can be added to what Jesus did. Good works, doing good things are in response to God's gift of salvation, not to earn it. All other religions are a burden and offer no true peace because it all rests on the ability of man, which is weak and inconsistent and not worthy of trust for gaining salvation. Don't tell me about the abuse of the Bible and people who are not faithful to Jesus message. This is not a slam against other religions but simply noting the difference.

Personally I think the human mind is far too simplistic when it tries to resolve creation using faith in an arbitrary religion, but let’s assume for a moment that God does exists and there is also a Devil.

If you had the opportunity to meet the Devil before you died and were allowed to ask one question only, what would that question be?

Intelligent design:

- Does it not seem unlikely that beings as complicated as ourselves could evolve that way? That babies can grow from 2 cells into fingers, joints, insticts, etc? That we can pick up light with our eyes and translate it into objects in our brain, repair our own bodies, etc...

BUT

- Does it not seem likely that any being intelligent enough to create a human being in 9 months, could not have it not die a few weeks later? Any being intelligent enough to create sight could avoid the need for glasses? How could a being create us and not avoid such flaws...even ones that we ourselves can often correct?

I kinda see both sides of the fence on this one...just wondering what everyone else thinks. PLEASE PROVIDE REASON, NOT PREACHING.

The early Christian gospels are not historical biographies of Jesus. They were written in a way that appeals to historical truth, but are not history in any actual sense. The Gospels were written between 40 to 200 years after the fact, and drastically altered during the “Council of Nicea.”
In Islam, there is no actual copy of the Koran. The earliest written record of the Koran was mentioned in a biography of Mohammed by Ibn Ishaq who wrote about 100 years after the death of the Prophet.
Hinduism does not have any one founder, or any single doctrine.
Buddhism is a religion that would be much closer in spirit to the views of an agnostic or atheist.
Where did the book of Mormon come from? Joseph Smith said he translated it from old manuscripts, but all we have are HIS papers.
The only “Religion” documented is “Scientology.” We have all the original bullshit and still some people can’t believe it’s a vast con game!

i heard it once but i forget the source..
i don't mean to insult or something.. i really read it once..
but in this question the term God means a higher consciousness... something like the state of "no self".. something like "joining the universe"..
do you think so ?
cause when we feel orgasm, we feel like somehow 'enlightment'..
i know you might think i'm joking or trying to make fun.. but i'm not. i'm really serious..
and they also stated something about yoga/samadhi expert practitioner or a high spiritual person can experience it.. a feeling just like orgasm.. it is a state of mind.. they can have this God experience without having sex, etc..
what do you think ?
i think it could be possible.. isn't it ?

The first King James Bible has God's name Jehovah in Ps 83:18, but a newer version of the King James has removed it. Many other verses lack the name as well. Why did they change it from version to version? What's so wrong with God's name?
