Because both Jesus and Paul commanded the disciples of Jesus to spead the teachings of Jesus to "all the world". It is up to the individual, of course, to whether he or she decides to accept the knowledge once they have heard it.
Christians are simply obeying a command of Jesus when they spread the word.

Jesus' message is to spread his teachings verbally. Praying for someone is only effective if you tell the person you are praying for them. Always ask in Jesus' name.

Because God wants us to help each other. If Jesus wanted to he could just snap his fingers and everyone would live for him, but that's not the case. We should help others come to Him. The bible says to draw niegh unto God and he will come the rest of the way. We let others know of and about him and he does the rest.

You're supposed to follow the example set by Jesus. The command he gave to his disciples was to go making disciples of people of all the nations. (Matthew 28:19)

What's the point? Is God unaware of your desire for people to find Jesus? Why would you have to ask him?
