I have read the Koran, and when I was young considered it as a path I might follow. I do not hate Muslims. It was the first religion I studied after Christianity. The problem for me is simple, the book was written after Christ's New Testament and well after the Old Testament. If the foundation isn't any good, the building isn't going to stand. I do respect your choice of faiths and would do nothing intentionally to dissuade you from following a peaceful, enlightened existence, but all ways remember that there are other paths.

I don't.
I think the media paints a bad picture of Muslims because they like to stir up controversy. Also, we are at war in predominately Muslim countries so people that are for the war and even the government will tend to dehumanize the "enemy". This almost always happens during wartime so that people won't mind killing other people so much. Unfortunately, many Americans don't know or understand middle eastern people as individuals, so they believe what the media says. I was lucky that I grew up in an area that had quite a few middle eastern people so I got to know many Muslims (including Palestinians and Iraqis) before all these problems began. Because of that, I find it hard to think that all Muslims are bad when I know for a fact that most are very nice people.

I don't hate any group of people, and try not to hate individuals. However, in the U.S. (I can't really compare to other countries since I live here) you can see that there are those out there who aren't shy about how they feel towards the muslim religion, and I would have to say that though the religion in itself doesn't appeal to me over my own, I would hate to have to face discrimination based on the fact that there were bad people out there whom others saw as representations of my faith, such as the 9/11 hijackers. Still, you can any try and answer such a question as yours to a point, knowing that there are always going to be people against you that won't care to listen or try and understand. I'm Jewish, and I've gotten told I was responsible for killing Jesus more than once. You just have to rise above it.

I do not hate Muslims. Anyone with any sense does not hate Muslims. What most people hate is the intolerance expressed by so many people (of many different religions) all over the world for others who are different than they are. People are people, no matter their religion. I think most of us would choose to exist in a peaceful world given the opportunity.

Why were the Muslims all around the world (even in the US, in New Jersey) celebrating after 9/11?
What other religion breeds suicide bombers?
Why don't moderate muslims consistently condemn the violent words and actions of more extreme muslims?
Why were Muslims all around the world rioting when some cartoons were published in some Danish newspapers?
Why is it that muslims consistently bomb non-military targets around the world, such as the tourists in Bali?
Why is it that muslims kill missionaries of other religions?
Why do muslims kill their own kind, because they fly kites or watch soccer (football) games? (just happened in Somalia)
Why did the filthy Chechen muslims kill women and children when they took hostages at the Beslan school in Russia?
Why do the Abu Sayaf terrorists in the Phillipines bomb buses and kill Christian missionaries?
I think you should ask yourself what is wrong with your religion. The answers will explain worldwide hatred of muslims.

Sara. Hate is the wrong word. Those who speak out against an entire faith are in fear. I must be honest when I say I fear many of the outspoken Muslim leaders in the world. And I believe this is what they want. Do I fear all Muslims? NO! Just the ones who say they want "death to all Americans". Becuase that would include Me and the people I love.

I don't like how many Muslims I meet are far more ready to generalize everyone into a category below them, without knowing us. many of the Muslims I met have been the most racist people. I don't hate them until I know them. the Muslims who own the neighborhood store? awesome people! the Pakistani family down my street? their little girls are polite little angels compared to most kids. but being screeched at for being proud of my heritage, just because I am white? I am not racist, just love my family and culture. I tried dating a Jordanian Muslim once. great guy, total sweetie and intelligent. I just didn't want to convert. so don't assume everybody is racist. expect the best, prepare for the worst. and life goes on with far less stress and your eyes are more open to beauty.

I don't hate you.
There are good and bad people in every race & religion. I have close friends & past b'friend(s) from various walks of life, including a Muslim. I only have bad feelings if some one's actions toward me personally are of a hateful origin.
~Peace~

EVER WONDER WHY?
By Brother Taimur:
Why a Jew can grow his beard in order to practice his faith But when Muslim does the same, he is an extremist and terrorist! Why a nun can be covered from head to toe in order to devote herself to God But when Muslimah does the same she is considered oppressed .
When a western women stays at home to look after her house and kids she is respected because of sacrificing herself and doing good for the household? But when a Muslim woman does so by her will, they say, "she needs to be liberated"! Any girl can go to university wearing what she wills and have her rights and freedom? But when Muslim woman wears a Hijab they prevent her from entering her university!
When a child dedicates himself to a subject he has potentials. But when he dedicates himself to Islam he is considered hopeless!
When a Christian or a Jew kills someone his religion is not mentioned, but when Muslim is charged with a crime, it is Islam that goes to trial! When someone sacrfices himself to keep others alive, he is noble and all respect him. But when a Palestinian does that to save his son from being killed, his brother's arm being broken, his mother being raped, his home being destroyed, and his mosque being violated -- He gets the title of a terrorist! Why? Because he is a Muslim! Whenever there is a trouble we try to find and solution to it and generally accept any solution? But if the solution lies in Islam, we refuse to take a look at it. When someone else drives a car in a bad way no one blames him. But when any Muslim makes the same mistake - people say "Islam is the reason"! Without looking to the traditions of Islam, people believe what the newspapers say. But question is what the Quran says!
A man is taking a walk in Central park in New York. Suddenly he sees a little girl being attacked by a pit bull dog . He runs over and starts fighting with the dog. He succeeds in killing the dog and saving the girl's life. A policeman who was watching the scene walks over and says: "You are a hero, tomorrow you can read it in all the newspapers: "Brave New Yorker saves the life of little girl" The man says: - "But I am not a New Yorker!" "Oh ,then it will say in newspapers in the morning: 'Brave American saves life of little girl'" – the policeman answers. "But I am not an American!" – says the man. "Oh, what are you then? " The man says: - "I am a Saudi !" The next day the newspapers says: "Islamic extremist kills innocent American dog.
