Deuteronomy 18:9-12 The Messege Bible:
When you enter the land that God, your God, is giving you, don't take on the abominable ways of life of the nations there. Don't you dare sacrifice your son or daughter in the fire. Don't practice divination, sorcery, fortunetelling, witchery, casting spells, holding séances, or channeling with the dead. People who do these things are an abomination to God. It's because of just such abominable practices that God, your God, is driving these nations out before you.

In accordance to the bible all spellcraft no matter the faith is Evil. In fact the bible goes as far as asking all believers to murder sorcerors and sorceresses.
The real question is do you believe everything the bible says about it? I am a "sorceror" and I strongly believe that ritual and spellcraft is more then capable of being good. What happens to the energy is entirely up to the ritualist or caster.
If you want to know the truth, rather then look to the bible for answers to this question, why not seek the wisdom of the occult? There are many books about spell and spellcraft law. See from the spellcasters point of view if all spells are evil or not. If we are indeed evil people, please stay with the christian faith. There are more then enough evil people already, occultist and christian alike.
To the truth,
Silence

Witchcraft is not devilworship... but some people are too damned stupid to educate them selves to that facct.
The bible is a nice piece of literatiure that has gone through so many hands and been manipulated so much that you would best not take it at face value. People change things and take things out of context to suit their own goals... and the Bible is a prime example of such handiwork....
Yes, there are good and bad spells. The law of three and karma state that if you choose to work spells for harm, it will come back to you threefold. An it harm none, Do what ye will. there is nothing to do with the devil. Don't even believe in it... dude's construct developed by men to insite fear.

If you are Christian, then there is probably no way you can justify using magic by the Bible. However,in true magic, there is no intent to do evil or harm. You also cannot try to control anybody. For example:A love spell that is meant to draw love into your life is ok.One that is aimed at a specific person is not, because it's a form of control. But like I said,if you are Christian and want to follow the Bible to the letter, magic is not for you.I don't think even more modern and open-minded Christians accept magic. If you're a seeker trying to find what fits, take it slow or you will be overwhelmed with input from others. You know what you feel is right and wrong. If you feel it's wrong, just let it go.It won't be worth it.

Spells and prayers are the same thing. It's the intent that matters, not the word used to describe the act.
Any wish to interfer with the free will of another is 'negative', and will ultimately result in harm to yourself. If you pray someone that is very ill to get well, for instance, you do not know whether or not that is the best for their eternal soul. It's actually selfish in a way, wanting them to stay around for you yourself.
Prayers wanting someone to find your version of God is the same thing. They have the freedom to choose as they will. If 'god' wants them to change their mind, you can rest assured thee would do it without your tattletales.
It's the same with spells or curses. You aren't trusting in karma to balance whatever the individual did back out. Everyone gets theirs, no matter what. If you ask for them too, then you are telling the universe someone can wish that right back your way because you "approve" of that.
Make sense? Just be careful of intent.
