let's see.... in india, the ending of thugee, the ending of immolation(buring) of widows, the ending of slavery (finally!) in most western states, the spread of democracy around the world...(yeah, that needs work, but it's not His fault that people can and will be petty), Sterilization and cleanliness techniques used in hospitals today(A Christian doctor discovered clean hands make healthier surgery patients...) A new understanding that instead of penalizing the poor for being poor and disenfranchised they should be helped and educated, as noted by the thousands of missions around the world.... and all because a Jewish carpenter followed His father's instructions and taught His countrymen His father's will...

That is a very vast question. Many people have tried to make their lives better. That includes helping other people. Consider how many religious orders are dedicated to help people. Think, as an example, Mother Theresa of India, all the people they have helped.
Besides, during the Middle Ages, knowledge was preserved in the monasteries until the Renaissance.
In the year 452, the Pope stopped Attila the Hun from destroying Rome

Charities and hope. Quite a few negative things though as well.

In fact, decide for yourself it these are good or bad qualities. Christianity provides:

- A figure to trust in
- A figure to hold responsible for good or bad events
- A belief that the world is controlled...that bad things are allowed by God for a reason
- A figure to hold as company
- A figure to confide in
- The belief that there is eternal justice
- The belief that we have some control over events through prayer (notice people claim that prayer has power).
- A community, a group to belong to

Now, as we cannot be certain of the existence of God or of Jesus as God's son...are these positive or negatives. I would say most could be used as either.

Good question. I would like to know the same thing. I'm Catholic myself, but my family follows different religions so to me there is more than one way to God, but other Christians don't agree with me and say that anyone who doesn't believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only God then they won't go to Heaven. But my question is what has Christianity done in history and in present time that makes it stand out as a good religion? To my knowledge all Christians is do is try and convert people and condemn the people who don't believe EXACTLY what they belief despite the Commandment to love other people as they love themselves.

Let's see... in just the first few centuries of Christianity, we have this:

As soon as Christianity was legal (315), more and more pagan temples were destroyed by Christian mob. Pagan priests were killed.

Between 315 and 6th century thousands of pagan believers were slain.

Examples of destroyed Temples: the Sanctuary of Aesculap in Aegaea, the Temple of Aphrodite in Golgatha, Aphaka in Lebanon, the Heliopolis.

Christian priests such as Mark of Arethusa or Cyrill of Heliopolis were famous as "temple destroyer."

Pagan services became punishable by death in 356.
]
Christian Emperor Theodosius (408-450) even had children executed, because they had been playing with remains of pagan statues.

According to Christian chroniclers he "followed meticulously all Christian teachings..."
In 6th century pagans were declared void of all rights.
In the early fourth century the philosopher Sopatros was executed on demand of Christian authorities.

The world famous female philosopher Hypatia of Alexandria was torn to pieces with glass fragments by a hysterical Christian mob led by a Christian minister named Peter, in a church, in 415.
