Rather than bash the next person's religion or church, kindly do these 3 things here:

1.] Briefly SHARE YOUR OWN PERSONAL CREED, beliefs or moral code here WITHOUT the need to MENTION as to what other groups may or may not do in theirs;

2.] Mention the church that you belong to, or the philosophical ideology/ies that you follow now; and

3] Rate yourself from 1-10 [10 being best] as to how close you are in adhering to your own CREED at this stage of your life.

Thanks for all your responses.

Peace be with you!

There are sites that are made by Christians that think they are helping God but seem to only be damaging His empire. How can this be worth the controversey? What do you think about sites like:

www.godhatesfags.com
and
www.godhatesamerica.com

How is this helping the Christian community by using such a derogatory word (fags) and being so discriminatory and judgemental, which it says NOT to be in the Bible? Please, I want opinions on this.

Last chapter in the Bible

Revelation 22:18
I war everyone who hears the words of the prophecy in this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.

I just finished reading the Bible and this worried me a bit. I have my own interpretation of many of the verses in the Bible, of religious theology, etc, etc. Does this verse mean that if my interpretation is not how God truly meant it, then I am cursed? Or what does it mean?

Thanks

SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE DISRESPECTED JON BENET RAMSEY LIKE THAT.

IF YOU SAW THE EPISODE I WAS TALKING ABOUT , YOU WILL SEE.

after seeing the show. it seems that paris hilton could actuallly be a nice person, and nicole richie is a mean spirited and selfish AHole...

I mean, did you see the episode where nicole dressed a 5 year old girl up like a prostitute when she was getting her school pictures taken??

and when paris found out about it, paris decided to hire a photographer to re-take the littles girls photo's the way a 5 year old should be.?????

what do you think?

Additional Details

nicole should know better... being adopted and all. she should be nice because she was so lucky.

why do i care?? i don't really. it just bugs me that paris always get's the crap... when nicole bitchee doesnt.

also,,, paris let the kids go to her house, swin in her pool, and mess around with het fancy clothes.

nicole would never let those "un privileged" and "un deserving" kids anywhere near her house.

my bf goes to church with me when i ask him to, and he always says he enjoyed it, but he would prob. never go by himself if i didn't ask him to, I am a strong Christian and i am having doubts about this relationship if he isn't as strong as me. Is this the right idea, or should i stick with him and see if he comes around to Christ himself.. it sorta seems like i cannot change his mind.. i'm soo confused i don't know what to do about this whole situation. what would you do? please help.

Alot of people think God has not given us power to shape our destinies. Surely he leads the way but it is up to us to choose. Follow-up question: Do you think our destinies are written in stone?

There is a prophetical statement told by prophet Muhammed that seeing a woman, a donkey or a black dog while a Muslim man is praying could void his prayers.

The above statement is narrated by Muslim [789] and you can read it here (in Arabic):

Does anyone know idea what is the rationale behind this?

When I look at the universe and this island home I see nothing but chaos. I don't mean politically or socially. I mean through entropy and the random motion of particles.

The fact that we are the only life supporting planet known further affirms my beliefs in the laws of probability. What do you think?

Can you successfully have beliefs of different faiths, and not just one? I was born and raised a Christian (Baptist) but find myself drawn to Eastern religions (primarily Buddhism) as well as earth-based religions and new age/metaphysical concepts.

Do you think it betrays your beliefs in your primary religion to learn about and accept concepts from other religions? (Or is this my Baptist guilt?) Do you think God frowns on those of us who are interfaith? Why is it so hard to not box yourself in with one label or choice?

I find myself feeling guilty about it sometimes, but on a deep level I don't see a problem with it. In fact, if you study many different religions, they all have some of the same core beliefs. What are your thoughts on this?

God did say Jesus is Him in human form. When I hear some people say "thank you Jesus" it irritates me becuase Jesus was just following orders from God. Jesus did not wake you up in your right mind, God did. This is how the Trinity works (now, correct me if I am wrong) We ask the Holy Spirit to come into our hearts to help us praise God. We talk are able to talk to God in Jesus's name, then we praise, thank, meditate etc.....to God? Right? I'm not saying I don't love Jesus because I do. I'm just trying to let my fellow Christians know we are not praying correctly. There is a chain of command to follow and we are not doing it....................Jesus was God in Human form but he also talk about OUR FATHER. I feel it is a respect thing.

It's so easy for men to talk about Paul's words toward women. of course, American men have NO IDEA what it's like to be limited. to be told every day, "you're not allowed to do that, you're not strong enough, God won't endorse you, because you're just a man." if they heard that it would turn their stomachs.
but women have that burden. we are encouraged to be involved in ministry, but there is always that glass ceiling we cannot break. so we get discouraged. if we're not a pastor's wife, and if we can't sing, where exactly are we supposed to fit in?
I am not saying Paul was wrong. I'm just saying ambitious women have a hard time swallowing such a bitter pill.
are there any Christians out there who can give me some comfort about this subject?
serious answers only.

When have you crossed the line into fundamentalism? Why do so many people use scripture to justify bigotry, hate, sexism, racism, and homophobia? When does a belief transgress to harmful superstition? If conservative Jews and Muslims were on an island together and the only thing they could eat period, was wild pig, would they just starve? Why do so many religious people frown on homosexuality when it's obvious that some people are truly born intersex with ambiguous genitalia or hermaphroditic?
