Seems pretty simple... people in good neighborhoods don't need anything, so the idea of a god is totally redundant. Who needs a god who promises wealth, freedom and a good life when you already have it right?

First of all, whenever someone says "bad neighborhood" they mean "poor neighborhood," and vice versa, right? So, let's cut to the meat of it. You're talking about relatively poor people.
Secondly (and this is the one I will never understand), the worse a person's life is, the more likely they are to be religious and love god. "Francisco has no arms and no legs and lives under the porch of a crackhouse. However, this has not deterred his faith and he rolls to mass every single morning."
It seems that the worse things are for you, the more you need to think that it will get better in "the afterlife." I couldn't say if this stops people from making every effort to make their actual lives better, but I suspect it might.
Your Atheist shirt tells them that you think that the *only* thing that they have to look forward to (dying) is not going to be everything they think it's going to be. So, they get mad.
I'd tell you to try talking to them and pointing out some of the inconsistencies in their faith, but we both know that you'd be wasting your breath.

The bible says that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the gates of heaven. I am assuming that you mean bad neighborhoods as in poor and good neighborhoods as in rich. Unless.......not only are you atheists but also racist.

Ironic, isn't it? Could be the demographic of intellegence factor between the two neighborhood residency.
Bad neighborhoods hold narrow minded (racist) people, who aren't developed in social tolerance/political correctness. Good neighborhoods are the complete opposite.
I've long held the theory that poverty is a mental disorder within itself: your insight may be a clue to proving my theory.

well in bad neighborhoods, ppl tend to have ONLY their faith to keep them going. which is why you'll tend to find more groups of VERY devout ppl here. and they don't take very kindly to atheists. in good neighborhhods, ppl tend to be more educated and open minded about things so they look at your shirt as just another view. there ARE bad christians, but there are also bad atheists. :)

Ive noticed those in poorer communities often take religion more seriously, I assume because they need hope the most, and thats what they get from religion.

What God did...
Think of it this way... Imagine you're in a courtroom again, you're guilty of many serious crimes. The judge says, "It's a fine of $500,000, or prison." You don't have anywhere near that amount of money, so the bailiff begins to walk you out of the courtroom when someone you don't even know appears. He runs up to the judge with a check and says, "I've paid the fine for you." Now that the fine has been paid, the law no longer has any hold on you. You're free -- because of the gift you were given.
This is what God did for you by sending Jesus to die on the cross in your place. So that you wouldn't have to go to Hell, God sent his only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross -- suffering the punishment that justice demands. Then He rose from the grave, forever defeating death! The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) If you will repent of your sins and put your trust in Jesus, God says he will forgive all your sins and grant you the gift of everlasting life. Just like the court case we just talked about, if you repent (that means to confess and forsake your sins) and put your trust in Jesus, then you will not have to suffer God's justice in Hell because the payment for your crimes was made by Jesus on the cross.
If you're not sure what to pray, read Psalm 51, and make it a model for your prayer. The words are not "magical," what God cares about is the attitude of your heart. When you pray, it should sound something like this, "Dear God, I repent of all my sins, such as (name them). I put my trust in Jesus Christ as Lord (to say Jesus is your Lord means you are now making Jesus the master over your life) and Savior. Forgive me and grant me your gift of everlasting life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."
Now read your Bible daily, and obey what you read. God will never let you down.
What should you read? We suggest that you start in the book named "John," and then read the one named "Romans." Whatever you decide to read, make sure you read every day.
I don't believe in PAINTERS, yet there are paintings to prove that they exist.
I don't believe in BUILDERS, yet there are buildings to prove that they exist.
I don't believe in a CREATOR, yet there is a creation to prove that He exists.
Use your logic in those statements. Why are you here? Because God put you here. Just because you choose not to believe something doesn't make it not true.
If I decide not to believe in trucks and yet step onto the freeway, I will be crushed no matter what I believe. Same with God. We may choose not to accept Jesus Christ because we "love our sins" but our choice not to believe isn't going to help when hit by the truck of judgment.
