When I look at the universe and this island home I see nothing but chaos. I don't mean politically or socially. I mean through entropy and the random motion of particles.

The fact that we are the only life supporting planet known further affirms my beliefs in the laws of probability. What do you think?

A great question.

Not only is our [observable] universe mostly chaotic, but it is proven that entropy always tends to increase (disorder reigns supreme, eventually) unless work is done to decrease it in a [temporarily] isolated system.

Now, why would a Deity manifest his presence by inventing a universe where the above is true? How sad! To "play around" with us... all the while knowing that disorder will triumph in the end!

If this is the evidence for a Deity, I want no part of such.

This is NOT an atheistic argument, merely an argument against this _particular_ kind of Supreme Being.

Deities were born out of order then chaos. Yes this is a chaotic world which is not bad but also understand that there is order and we must create this order in our everyday lives whether it be by the cleanliness of our house, our minds, our routines and our word. That is why meditation is so important-to stand still in mist of chaos and vibrate on the one tone to contact the most high or these deities.
My friend we haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what other life forces exist on other planets. We have yet to so called walk on the moon again let alone say it is a fact that there is no life on let's say Pluto. Remember we once thought that the world was flat. The universe is way older than man-you give us to much credit to say that this is fact.

I think spamandham and william H really answered this well.
1) "order" and "entropy" are not truly related. It is a common misconception.
2) While there is room for "chaos" in the universe, it is clear that there is much order by the mere fact that we have a working planet! (And there have been quite a few books over the last decade discussing this "lucky coincidence". You may want to lookin to the "anthropic principle".)

Consider humanity still exists despite the fact that earth stands more of a chance of being smacked by a global killer asteroid than people dying in a plane crash.

It's no small miracle that we survived these 6000 years. Even if we use the evolutionists dating it makes our non-extinction all the more amazing.

If there was no order - mankind would be nothing but landscape of a chard planet - a sister Mars if you will.

It is God who keeps these things in check. However - we are assured in about 3000 years (give or take a 1000) the Word of God indicates Earth will be annihilated in a supernova like event. Its all going bye-dee-bye.

The number of parameters, known at this time, is 25 in which any of these factors would be off a fraction of a percent there could not be life on earth. When calculated the odds of these known parameters aligning perfectly for life to exist are one trillionth of one trillionth of one trillionth of one trillionth of a percent. The parameters have to do with such things as the the size and age of the sun (which supplies the necessary amount of heat and radiation), the size of Jupiter (which helps deflect and absorb meteors) the size and distance of our moon (which has to do with gravitational forces) and so on..... We are in a perfectly design world for life, we are more "in order" than we can imagine! This does not happen by chance!!

Order, in the usual sense, has nothing to do with entropy, but rather, has to do with our perceptions of an environment conducive to our life. The sun has a much lower entropy level than the earth, yet most people would consider it chaotic.

It’s like this, when I look a picture made by a famous artist, the thought never came to mind that there is the remotest chance that the picture was the result of an explosion. When I look at creation, I see so much more than I see in any two dimensional picture that to think it came from an explosion well, you get the picture, don’t you?

True, there is a lot of entropy, but I believe there is more harmonic pattern than entropy. Then again, if you sat and tallied each example of entropy on one wall, and each example of harmony on another, I wont argue with the tally marks.

I tend to agree, except that just because we are the only life supporting planet known thus far does not preclude life developing on other planets, not necessarily intelligent.

Do you honestly believe all that is here is random chance?
I see it as an amazing creation down to the most minute details. Just take 1 thing & study it..like your Body & how it works.
