How can one 'spirit' in the sky watch over every person on this planet? I myself am an athiest and I don't quite understand how. Maybe devoted Christians can explain to me. Also, I'm looking for an answer that has some meaning.

If a religious commandment says things like do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not kill, do not commit adultary...one can see why. It is wrong because it hurts someone. If a person feels comfortable worshiping an Idol in privacy of home or in a public place, whom and how does he harm?
Please do not give answer like: because God said so or because our Prophet said so or because it is written so in our scripture that is a sin. Give me logic! What was God's or the scripture's or the prophet's logic?
If it was said more than a thousand years ago, does that still hold true -once again do not give an answer like -God said so and therefor it is final. Give me logic. If you don't want people to do what they would otherwise do - give them a logical answer why!

Really? Why? Just because it's an old book? How do you know the muslims aren't right? Or even the scientologists? I guess what I'm getting at is how is everyone so sure that their religion is the right one? From my point of view, atheism is the only correct choice. Absence of proof is proof of absence.


Oh yeah, and if you're going to tell me i'm wrong, tell me HOW i'm wrong. If you want to convince me (and I know thats what christians want to do) you've gotta do better than"We just have faith". Someone was just accused of making up stories about Mithra to discredit Christianity. Why would anyone make stuff up to discredit Christianity? Do Christians think people are out to get them? Is that the problem? I assure you, I only use real stuff to discredit Christianity. There is plenty of it.

I read in a book don't counsel or give advice to people that you are NOT willing to go through yourself.

There is a person that has done that to me, she says be thankful for all you have and it is a good life God did not mean for you to have children. Be content.

Meanwhile this person and others like her don't have to work, have extra income coming in, have children and grandchildren and life is not really Getting on thier case.

I think before I speak and I would never give any one a pat answer on how to handle and approach life. Everyone has to answer for the song they have sung myself included.

When I have given counsel as God leads I speak doubly to myself.

Why are people so insentive and give adivce or counsel when they have no clue?

Were they "Inspired by GOD" or GOD dictate them word for word?
As my understanding being inspired does not stands to the exact fact. It takes human imgination and inspiration. IF BIble was word for word than its different story.
SHould the " inspired by GOd " being substitude to some more powerfull description how BIble was wrote?

Is this REALLY true? I've got to say if it's true, that may be one more "nail in the coffin" of my even remotely believing in the Bible or organized religion at all. Sounds downright ridiculous to me. If it's "God's money" why are we "not allowed" to donate it as we wish to organizations that actually use the money to help people?

There is a verse in Quran [67:5] that says that god have decorated the sky with LAMPS. It also says that god uses those lamps to attack devils (like missles)!

Did not the almighty, all-knowing, god know that what we see in the sky are actually stars not just "decorative lamps"?

Did not he also know that those "missles" are just meteors travelling in the sky according to Newton laws?

Whats wrong with this double standard? It is ok for Thomas, in the Bible, which apparently is the word of God, its ok for him to ask for proof of Jesus, and he gets it. But when I ask for proof of Jesus I am told to believe on faith.

Well thats not fair and thats not right. I should be awarded the same level of courtesy as Thomas was.

If the Jesus was really God and could pop into existence for those other people to see, why not me, jim_darwin, who would clearly be an intelligent and faithful servant. All I ask is what Thomas got, why does Thomas get to have physical proof and not me?

Its just not fair. Does this mean that I am not chosen by God? Does this mean I will go to hell? What kind of God would choose to create me 6000 years ago and put me on this here God's green flat Earth but not allow me to see the proof of him by allowing Jesus to appear before me?

Its just not fair. I'm going to hell and theres no way out of it. I can't believe it!
