I know its a commandment to honor your father and mother, and i dont have a problem with the mother part, but i do with the father part. 25 years ago, my father walked out on me, my mom, and my sister when i was five years old. He also did it again to his new family in Texas and left a wife and two young kids. He also recently got in a fist fight at a bar where he beat a man to death (he actually died). So how am i supposed to honor a person like that. In my own opinoin, there is a special place in hell waiting for him

I know for me I pick and choose u can usually tell by the persons name of the question who is really asking something or who wants to spout off or debate as am still relatively new to this was wondering how others answered? (not a religous que. but since this is where I go I didn't know where else to put it I pray it doesn't offend anyone.

Hebrews 9:22 says that "without the shedding of Blood, there is no forgiveness." In the Old Testament, a sacrifice of an unblemished lamb was required to satisfy God's wrath. Jesus, the sinless Son of God, died on the cross and became the ultimate sacrifice for sin. Jesus bought our forgiveness when he died on the cross.

However as He rose again from the dead HE WAS NOT SACRIFISED. Surely it would be a better religion if Jesus did not rise again and therefore was actually sacrificed. If you sacrifice you life but a couple of days later come back to life you sacrifice NOTHING.

What was sacrificed by Jesus, and has this removed the effects of original sin?

In a small out post of the great Roman Empire, a civilised educated and technologically advanced empire, a man allegedly died on a cross for my sins. Is true that many people who are not scientific ,they believe in Christ becoz they dont understand that ..creation of Universe and evolution of life is different from that described in genesis.
