. (“If any of you has a dispute with another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the saints?” -- 1 Corinthians 6:1 NIV) How interesting! Considering that state is separate from church all courts are supposedly “ungodly”. Does this stop Christians from tying up the supreme court with law suits concerning school prayer, abortion, or numerous other absurdities? Hell no it doesn’t, and my taxes are paying the ******* bill for their hypocrisy!

Religion, or in the name of religion. Wars/burnt at the stake/child human bombs/ confusion and psycotic behavior/ brain washed confused children, that grow up to be sociapathic adults. You and I could make a vast list, but anyone think that if all religions were banned in public and made private, that it would end wars and make the world a peacefull place. If so, is religion anti-good? I'm a spiritual person, i pray to God as a christian and he always helps me, but nobody knows I'm a christian and I've never been to church, not as an adult. If there were no Muslims, no Budhists, no catholics, no christians just no religion to be seen anywhere, do you think that things would improve? do you think that the twin towers would be standing now? To my simple mind, religion, the public sort, has caused most of the worlds problems and is still causing mysery and suffering in every aspect of worldwide civilization, from child confusion to death by war. When will it all end, is mans fault?

1) “So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man put asunder” (Matthew 19:6 & Mark 10:9).

2) “Whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery” (Matthew 5:32, 19:9 & Luke 16:18).

3) "Whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery" (Matthew 5:32).

4) "...whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her" (Mark 10:11 & Luke 16:18), which applies to women as well (Mark 10:12).

What do you think of his preaching? I really think he is pretty good. I just wanted to see how many other people have heard of him and what you think of him. Thank you very much for your answers.

I'm of the believe that the religious clubs and organizations they belong to give them that sense of belonging, and there is a certain comfort to believing in the mythology. There is a creation of endorphins in the brain when they "get fired up for (insert God's name here)"

Is there any other explanation that you have seen. I have seen the so called God gene but I don't buy into that logic at all.

I think its more a chemical "high" that the brain produces when they "get fired up for "god""

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.

2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.

1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

1 ”You shall have no other gods before Me.”

2 "You shall not make any graven image or likeness of any other god. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

if humans are more intelligent than monkeys, then to have evolved from monkeys makes no sense. Unless two monkeys merge and evolve into a human. Is this what happened? And if not, why are there still monkeys

The question who can give me the best one, call me whatever you want, in a good way of course, a new identity for my Christian life as a new start. An example Mikey.D, it doesnt have to involve my own name, make one up for me. Ill give you more of an idea I have a Gilera mo-Ped ( Gileran ) I like dragons, I wear dragon T-Shirts hmm maybe something catchy for that, a dragons name, not Drako, Fang that has allready been used.

Make it into a list of 5 - 10 if you wish something simple I dont mind, be creative, the most appropriate will be chosen, as an added note how do I get you guys/ gals to vote on it?

I know as far as the Kingdom of God goes, it doesn't matter, but hey, who do you think is the best? Billy Graham, Martin Luther King Jr., Bob Russell, Phillip Yancey, or someone new like Rob Bell, or even someone you'd like to nominate that is less known.

Jesus says that the Mustard seed is the smallest seed that is planted. He also says that if you have a corresponding amount of faith, you should be able to tell (on one occasion) a Mulberry bush to uproot and enter the sea, or (on another occasion) a mountain to throw itself into the ocean. In other words, you should have great power at your disposal.

It is no good saying that no one would want to throw a mountain into the sea. This doesn't change the fact that Jesus says it is possible for someone with only a little faith.

If everything rides on how much faith you have (as many of you suggest), then how come no one does miracles of remotely such high calibre? Do you have some faith or not? It seems as though by Jesus' measurement, no one has any faith.

How would you answer this objection?
