It took Noah120 years to build the Ark, he wasn't lazy. I am sure were he lived was forest like.
Consider this - two of every animal, could have been in the form of eggs, unhatched specimens, baby animals, not requiring a lot of bedding.
Genesis 7:24
24 The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
That's only 5 months, not impossible to live on a boat for 5 months locked in. Then Noah stayed on another 5 months waiting for the waters to go down further, not inconceivable, people live on boats all the time.
God, the creator of the universe .. you don't think he could instruct the animals to go to Noah? Why not, he did create the world the animals live in. That is why he is a High Power - he can do what we can not.
The Dove didn't have to be super intelligent - the dove is a bird, birds fly. All the dove did was to fly around and instinctively look for a tree or leaves to make a nest, like all birds do. The dove found the olive branch, with no where to build in a tree, naturally came back to Ark to build. These are probably tall trees peaking out of the water as it started to soak down.

Ok, so you raise a valid issue. The ark story isn't exactly plausible when you think about it. However, if you really want to believe in the Bible you don't question the factual aspects (Jesus' birth was told in three different ways, the order of the sacrament is reversed by Paul and Luke, etc). I know there are groups that still claim that the Bible is the complete truth and that the events actually transpired. However, I think the more appropriate interpretation of the Bible is to look at the lessons learned from these stories. Take these away from reading the Bible and enrich your life with them. Don't let the problems you have with the story keep you from getting to the end result.

1. Noah built the ark according to God's specs as to what size, etc. but he used the aramaic measurement--cubits--(the length of a man's forearm), to measure the wood. Genesis 6:15 and 16
2. God made it possible for him to procure the animals, etc. Genesis 7:1-9
3. Forty seven days after the flood, the dove found a single olive leaf. Genesis 8:11
4. But it was an entire year before the earth was dry of the flood and Noah was able to leave the ark. Genesis 8:1-20
You can read about it in the Bible but in the end, it's all a matter of faith.

Noah preached for 120 yrs before the flood and he had all that time to get the boat built with the help of his children and work men that he would have hired throughout that time. The flood lasted 40 days and therefore all the trees that were covered wouldn't have rotten away yet. The Lord God told Moses to stack up on food. Please read the story for the facts in Genesis chapters 6-8.

Difficult to know how to respond to this as the question itself gets lost in the description of the Arc. This in itself is not thought through logically as the numbers are in fact much bigger. You need a good thirty pairs of each animal to provide a stable breeding stock. If you then calculate the amount of vegetable matter 60 elephants would eat let alone how many antelope needed to feed the big game etc etc. I guess the Arc would in fact need to be about the size of mainland Europe. Anyway, I think you are taking this and other bible stories too literally. Most Christians (of which I am not one) believe these stories are there to guide them and help them in their faith. If that is their wish then I for one am happy to let them get on with it in peace.

God told Noah ahead of time that he needed to make an ark, so God provided the supplies, Noah probably had the tools, i'm not sure what you mean about the army of people, besides the animals, the only ones on the boat were Noah, his wife, his three sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their wifes, eight total people. i'm not sure why you said 40 years, maybe you meant the 40 days and nights that it rained for, and finally anything is possible with God

Well for make ur knowledge better u must have to read the revealed book of Jews.
All the story has stated in it.
And for ur kind information, it was all wood around and jungle around so it was not a problem.
And for ur kind information again, Noah didnt take all animals and birds...as example, he took a cat..remember the tiger is the nature cat.

Remember that thousands of years ago, people were a lot more "handy" and a lot more skilled with tools and with their hands than we are today.
Remember that people back then had to make everything for themselves. They couldn't just go down to WalMart or the Home Depot to buy what they needed. They had to know how to manufacture things themselves.
As such, I don't doubt for a minute that Noah had the skills, and probably the tools, he needed to build his ark.
