You know, I went to the same church growing up and thought it was the best thing ever. I still love the Preacher and love the people...but my husband, children and I started attending this new church and I can tell you that 5 minutes in this church brings me more than 21 years at the old church brought in the entire time.
Perhaps a little switch up in in order. But I wouldn't stop attending a church.

Not all churches are boring. It depends very much on the particular congregation. You can't even make generalizations like "all Catholics are boring," because every denomination has it's alive, happening churches and other ones where people want everything to be stable and the same because it makes them feel secure. Ministers know this, and so they keep it boring even if they themselves are interesting.
Church is for you. To help remind you that you are part of God's creation, to bring you closer to God in understanding and feeling and to help recharge you with support and love. Does your church do that?
If the church is the problem, maybe it is a problem that you could make a contribution to helping? Like starting a young adults group that meets for meals or to discuss books or whatever.

I will be frank in answering this question and tell you that if you find church "boring", then you must think you get nothing out of it right? First ask yourself, "What are you bringing to it or putting into it"...There have been many answers here already about going to a different denomination or a different church but thats not the issue...the issue here is your own spirituality. Look within yourself and pray that God send you His Holy Spirit to enkindle within your heart a burning love for His Word and the ability to have "open ears and an open heart" to receive His Word and be able to live it in your own life. You may not particularly like what I am saying to you but I speak the truth and the problem is within you and a lack of spirituality.

That is up to you. My grandma has been going for a long time and about a year ago she stopped going cause she can't walk to church no more cause she moved. She does believe in God and she reads the bible every day and she is fine with that. I believe sometimes that you do need a break from church.

Church is boring if you are not there for the right reasons. Try taking a break and get your religious priorities straight before going back and you might get more out of it then. Also, maybe the denomination you are is not the right one for you.

I imagine simply going to church can be incredibly boring. Going to church isn't the point of church. Certainly after 20 years I'd hope you'd know that you're supposed to be doing something; something that feeds your heart, your mind, your soul; something that makes you feel alive!
If that's not the case, it's not your churches fault; it's yours. Get involved. Make a difference. Discover what excites you and glorifies God and make it happen. Boredom will soon be a distant memory. God did not initiate a relationship with you to lead to apathy for His church. He initiated it with you so that you could bring something unique to it, something that only you can do, something that you want to do.

Sounds like you are not getting feed where you are at. Need to find a place where the Sprit is feed and then you won't be bored. Search yourself and the real reason you go to church. Who are you serving? Why do you want out of it? Is God real in your life?
Are you getting what your sprit needs out of church?
You need to know these things or church is nothing to you.

If it is boring and doing nothing for you, then why go? I don't see the point.
By the way, the people who are going to tell you to keep going and stop complaining are the reason why religion is a system of control. Even if they personally don't stand to gain anything by it, they are parroting the lines of the church 'leaders' who benefit from your attending. ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$)

Maybe look for a church that is a little more progressive. Some churches have live bands, coffee stands, interesting presentation and make it exciting to attend church again.

If you find it boring then that means the church you attend isn't meeting your spiritual needs.
I've found that the denominations that have the ritualistic approaches (stand, sit, stand, sit, recite, respond, say this, etc.) get boring pretty quick and you can attend them comatose and cruise through on auto-pilot. No offense meant.... but that's what I've observed.
