I put this same question out 2 weeks ago. I can't understand how Christians can name the name of Christ but lack the fundamental love that it requires.
God hates divorce yet we almost match the secular world in divorce and remarriage. We are going to find out when we stand before the judgment seat of Christ just how wrong we have been. God is love but He is also an all consuming Fire, He is a Holy Righteous Judge, He is jealous for His people.
Without Holiness no one shall see God. We are to be holy as He is holy in the sense of being consecrated set apart. we forget our vows we take before a holy God, better or worse sickness and health till death do us part not difficulties or she got ugly or he don't treat me like i should be we lack commitment to a covenant we made to each other.
If we really placed 1Cr.13:4-8 into affect what would happen in marriages today?
Love is patient and kind.
Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.
5 Love does not demand its own way.
Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged.
6 It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

I am remarried Christian because my wife loved other men. I forgave her and took her back at least a dozen times during our 4 year marriage.

I am now married to a God fearing wonderful woman. We have had a strong and blessed marriage for over 7 years.
No children from either side.

Alot, but that doesn't change the truth about Christianity and what the Bible says; you still have true Christians that follow Jesus and his commandments, many are called but few are choosen. Many shall come in my name and I will say I know them not. So not because they preach and live contrary they will be punished with the wicked - God's word is true and it stands for everyone to follow.

Plenty, because everyone has a different perspective on life, not to mention religion, not to mention the use of religion. So, when you say Christians, I have not met a single person that fits the bill, not including Yeshwa (Jesus), I assume he was probably Christian in the true sense of the word.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
The majority of America is considered Christian , 54% of all marriages end in divorice. Many of those go on to marry another person.

Yes many Christians divorce and remarry but GOD forgives and his mercy is everlasting.(Just how he forgave the drunk down the street and just how he forgave the hooker in downtown that used to sell her body for money, he'll forgive them!) So yes they commit adultery but GOD will forgive and the storm they're going through wont last long!!!!

***GOD bless

i cant see how people complain about homosexuality destroying the sanctity of marriage when divorce is legal
i think i remember that of the 50% who get a divorce 80% of them have a history of a failed marriage so its not their first time getting divorced
