I say this because of Katrina, and because of this article on Yahoo! News: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060618/ap_on_fe_st/deer_attack . The woman did nothing to the deer necessarily.

When I was baptised several years ago, I was giving a Psalm. I remember part of it, but I dont know the rest. I can't look it up on my computer because of the parental controls block religion sites. (children use this computer too). But anyway what I do remember is:

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid ... my heart shall not fear ...

That is all I can remember. If anyone knows the whole verse, that would be great. Thanks Alot!!!

Deuteronomy 18:18

Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18:

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

To whom does this prophecy refer to ?

I had recently been reading my horoscope and for the most part it seemed to be accurate. However, I wonder if it is close with the other signs and how can this be? Receiving the promise (eternal life) is

Heb 11: these all died & rec'd not the promise.

God never desired, nor took pleasure in,

For law can't purge the conscience of sin.
For law is both source & strength of sin.

The God of all grace is the God of no law at all,
as that God is light having "no darkness at all",
which is to allegory say mercy void of sacrifice,
which is to allegory say peace void of division.

Drowning is one of the top ten horrific ways to die. What is the best explanation you can give for god flooding the Earth? Here are some of the weak responses I’ve gotten so far:

He is so above us that we can’t comprehend his actions – Convenient, but wait, aren’t we made in his image!

He is a “young” god and is susceptible to childish woes – wow, a decent amount of thought went into that, but all the more reason to question him.

He is god, we are wrong to question his actions – Would you say that to a child when their parents abuse them? That they should go along with their beatings? Not to question them?

What right does a deity have to cause a traumatic death of his children? Doesn’t this disprove that god is infallible? If he is fallible, how can he be a god?

ok 6/6/06 I read a previous anwser that this is a loud of crap well those people apparently never read any of wht it says in the book of revelations say ok the book of revilations just tells you events that will happen before the AntiChrist. some of the things listed have been happening for decades the thing is im sure a few of those signs are in our present but if you read it it will say Man shall not know when the antichrist will arrive. so this 6/6/06 that might be true in a way but it might not neccsarly be 6/6/06 you know? we do not know when the Argeddom will be and even so if 6/6/06 is true then the Antichrist is just a baby because accrding to to the story thats when the antichrist is born. now the signs the bible says well im sure osome of the signs are in our present, but i think some of the things we thingk are signs arent really the specific signs but let me tell you this durin 9/11 it was on some news site, as soon as the plane hit, the smoke shaped as of a smile.then nrm

I am a Muslim and can't understand why he is rejected by the Christians. Could it not be true that he was indeed God's last messenger? What about his message do you feel is wrong? Praying to one God? God told Adam and Eve not to eat the apple from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. They disobeyed God (presumably a sin/evil), and were banished from Eden. The banishment seemed to the consequence of three things: (1) they disobeyed God; (2) they became aware of their nakedness; and (3) they were apparently deceived by the Devil.

The problem with the above three points is that if they are all connected to sin, how would Adam and Eve have known these were sin/evil actions prior to eating an apple that supposedly contains Knowledge of Good and Evil?

Furthermore, if both were created in God's image, it suggests they were created imperfectly, with the imperfection (apparently) being Free Will. So the original sin story seems to boil down to God giving Adam and Eve Free Will, along with insufficient knowledge to make (moral) decisions--which presumably is contained in the Apple from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. So who committed the original sin?
