Drowning is one of the top ten horrific ways to die. What is the best explanation you can give for god flooding the Earth? Here are some of the weak responses I’ve gotten so far:

He is so above us that we can’t comprehend his actions – Convenient, but wait, aren’t we made in his image!

He is a “young” god and is susceptible to childish woes – wow, a decent amount of thought went into that, but all the more reason to question him.

He is god, we are wrong to question his actions – Would you say that to a child when their parents abuse them? That they should go along with their beatings? Not to question them?

What right does a deity have to cause a traumatic death of his children? Doesn’t this disprove that god is infallible? If he is fallible, how can he be a god?

You really believe god flooded the earth? First off, there is not enough H20 to flood the earth. So he deliberately brought in extra water to suffocate his children? That's asinine!

Martin, way cool whitewater rafting pict, horribly missed bible quotes. You quoted the bible but adequately missed the question at hand. True to form with most bible thumpers, so no harm done.

God flooded the earth because of the wickedness that man allowed himself to be involved in. They refused to obey Him so He took em out. What is the best way to get the attention of your out of control kids? Punish them. Well, what if your kids are the whole world? Punish them on a massive world level. You have to get your point across. God is just in all of His ways. Man is inferior, God is superior. We must obey Him. God Bless.

How about this for an explanation...

Luke 13:1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Or perhaps this passage might be better...

Romans 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? 22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

he may not be perfect, but,he made you in his image and knows your not perfect so he gave you a simple way to not have to be held responsible for your short comings..."for all who believe in him(Jesus, as savior),shall not die...."and do remember he is God,you probably don't want to piss him off.so BELIEVE!!!
