I don't think there is such a thing. It's all opinion! Everyone answering this question will just put down what their own religion is. No one's going to say "Well, I'm Jewish, but really Islam is the TRUE religion..."

To each person, a true religion is one that lets them feel connected to a higher power, and makes them feel that there is a purpose in life. For instance, as an atheist (really no religion at all), I feel connected to the higher power of the earth and universe, and I find that my purpose in life is to try and make things on earth better when I leave it than when I entered it, in the short period of time and small scope that I have. To me, it is a perfect set of beliefs and a true one. To other people, it's heresy.

Everyone's true and perfect religion is someone else's heresy.

There is such a thing on one level, what ever feels right to you is YOUR perfect and true religion, the people that say this one or that one are not right, because religion requires faith that what the 'church' (or other source as the case maybe) tells you is true. If you don't have that faith that they are telling you the truth, then it can't be the perfect and true religion for you.

In a factual sense, there is none because religion is based on faith not fact, as such you can't prove or disprove the accuracy of any religion's teachings.

In reality, it would be the religion that brings you peace of spirit and moral guidelines you both agree with and can follow and teach to your children.

Unfortunately most religions spend their efforts continually pointing out your inherent imperfections and destroying your self-esteem by pointing out how you will never be perfect and that you need THEM (meaning the humans that run that religion) to bring you closer to their version of perfection to get close to their version of God.

It never ceases to amaze me that the majority of this world invests so much emotional energy and time into religions that perpetually point out their failings.

The perfect or true religion would celebrate your strengths and urge you to continue to grow as a giving and valuable human without threatening your eternity by pointing out your failures. It would encourage success instead.

No such thing.

For every good message that ANY religion suggests, there are countless numbers of idiots willing to twist the message to further their own agenda.

Religion sucks.

There is no such thing as a perfect religion because there is no such things as a perfect belief nor an unfaltering faith.

Yes there is. Many will disagree...but the only true Church that has all the principles and ordinaces to help you find joy in this life and in the next is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The only way you will know this though is through reading the Book of Mormon and asking God himself. Good luck on your quest. Check out www.lds.org or www.mormon.org to find out more about the Church.

Christianity

The only perfect religion is Christianity, because it is based on God's Word, which is God-breathed, spoken through men who penned it. What other religion is centered around a man who died for the sins of the world???

God bless!
