And consider them animals? My family are strict Islamists and I was brought up to hate anyone who wasnt of my faith- I remember we were out shopping one day and my Father saw a man with a beard of Asian origin and said "salom ali ***"- when the man didnt understand my Father called him a kafoor and stormed off.
I am now at University and have managed to free myself from this brainwashing- however other Muslims studying here ,confide in me how much they hate the west and the people here??
My thoughts are that if someone is good to you ,doesnt do any harm to others -they are a good person.

I think contact lens are amazing, its 90 % water and corrects your vision, and totall avail to the masses!
If we told a person 100 or even 50 years ago that something like a drop of water in your eye would improve your vision
they would think thats absurd!

A 22 year old gang member was shot and killed in my hometown: suburban Oak Park, just a few blocks from Austin Ave, the dividing line between the middle to upper class suburb with a white demographic of almost 60%, in which i live, and the gang-infested, impoverished inner-city Austin neighborhood of Chicago, with a white demographic of approximately 4%. When this happened, the local news stations were all over it. Tomorrow it will be on the front page of the Chicago Tribune. But just days before that happened, two kids who went to my high school, OPRF (Oak Park River Forest), were shot, and one of them nearly died, just a few blocks east of the dividing line. The only place in the news this story appeared in was the back corner of our community newspaper (Wednesday Journal). My question is, how is it okay for a news corporation to pay more attention to certain crimes just because they occur in less diverse neighborhoods? Shouldn't the front page focus on Austin's struggle...

1. I hope that one day I can trust my husband again.
2. I hope that one day I can have a child (I just want one).
3. I hope that one day I don't have to live paycheck to paycheck anymore.
4. I hope that one day I will be where I need to be on a religious level.
5. I hope that one day I can get back to the size I was when I graduated from highschool (right now I'm a 14/16 and then I was a 7/9).

Those are the most important things for me.

So I accept the facts (for you ppl who have read my other questions) that being a plus size woman is very unattractive to most men.

I have discovered this from 1) being overweight and 2) being overweight with a good personality and have thin friends who are one demtional

anywho, I know know but I am still often shocked by HOW superficial men are like

1.) maintaining a relationship with abusive women but they are attractive

2.) ignoring women who must look different than the standards even though they are genuwine

etc. ANYONE ELSE FEEL THIS WAY?

i wanted to hear some opinions about this:

Can music raise questions about society's norms and values?
Examples?

I was thinking... who wouldn't question music w/ all its encouragement of violence, sex, and drugs? Although to some, this music may be a bit extreme, the music actually reflects our society. Our rising obsessions with money (materialism), sex, and drugs are all reflected in music. It has become normal for people to have premarital sex, to drink and party everyday, and to do drugs like cocaine, especially because the music constantly exposes us to it, which makes us think it's alright for us to do it. It very much sickens me. What is society heading for? O, Brave New World.... It scares me to think about the next 50 years because i know it'll be much worse.

do you think the MAJORITY of americans are smart, or wise or intelligent? i am not realy talking about their educational leval i am talking about their iq's and how well they think for themselves and just in general how smart they are. do you think americans are mostly stupid? also who is to blame for the general stupidity?(if you believe that the majority is stupid) only americans awnser this one(hard to know what the problems are from the outside looking in)

right now everyone likes to dress like gangsters or ballers or whatever you would call it. other people like to be rockers, emo, scene, punk, goth, metal heads etc.

with all the things that are "in" these days, i wonder what will be so cool to do in the future (maybe 2020)

In regards to that whole Don Imus - Rutgers team thing, I believe that I understand why people were offended, but I am curious... Why does nobody seem to mind that Stevie Wonder's "I Wish" is featured in the movie Happy Feet? Is it because Stevie is a black man? If we want to eliminate language like that, why would featuring that song in a kid's movie be acceptable, no matter how much we love the guy as an amazing musician?

I am a wonderful wife and mother. I get up at 7am with my daughter and cook and clean all day long. Then when my husband comes home, I cook a nice meal for all of us. The only thing that may be out of order here is that I like to take a few hits off a one hitter at night. I go out into the garage well after the baby is sleeping and smoke. I come in and relax and watch movies.
Is that really that bad? I feel it makes my life more enjoyable and tolerable. I love my family, but I love the release that marijuana provides. Remarks?

Don't tell me I am a bad mother or wife because of smoking....your just wasting your time.

Is it because they think there are so many of them here that they can just simply change the language which the Declaration of Independence of this country is written in? Most of the other immigrants like nearly all of our great grandparents who spoke different languages that come to the United States of America to start a new, “better” life seem to want to make the effort to learn the English language so they may respectfully contribute toward the greater good. They do so out of respect for the freedoms that are inherited from the hard work of our four fathers laid out to build this great nation, its Constitution and laws which were all created with the English language. It just seems to me like a blatant disregard for common courtesy if you ask me. Learn to speak English if you are a US citizen! Speak Spanish all day long who cares! It’s not fair to the other immigrants, the rest of the English speaking citizens or the system that runs this nation that made you want to come here!!!!!
