Adam and Eve were forbidden to eat from the tree of knowledge - this part of genisis makes a good deal of sense to me and my question is this:-

Putting aside whether this story came from God or someone making up a story about what God said or even if God exists - was this story created to protect us from ourselves?

Just suppose for a moment we knew completely how our brains worked - why we are self-aware - why we dream - why we sleep & ultimately why we die - everything that makes us 'tick' & of course the really big one - why we are here in the first place - is this why we have religion in our societies - as a 'coping mechanism' until we have answers for all the things that we don't understand - and ultimately is it a bad thing for us to know all these things, because then there would be no challange for us to live our lives?

Is this what's making our society descend further and further morally & ethically?

Is our gathering of knowledge making us jaded and cynical....

Shouldn't a widow be wearing black? It looked strange, everyone was in black except her, who was in green... was there a reason for that?

Religion are spread in the world by different people.

Language is the tool for communication.

We require different language to promote our product, technique, knowledge or skill to sell into the global market.

Different race/people has different talent or language. It is vital to train & motivate the right candidate for the right tusk. Avoid to put fishes & birds in the flying race. Our fishes are talented in swimming. Our single are earning performance money from the other country. All of them are a team of nation with different talent to trade.

To have many University set up in the country, University of Malay language, Indian language, English, Chinese, medical singing & etc. This enhance & equip the nation with skill, technique, knowledge, languages & etc to compete in the global market.

This will encourage people at different corner to learn in Malaysia to improve Malaysia economically & global status.

I got my grandson to download a whole bunch of barking dog mp3s and I put them into a big list on itunes. I play it and turn my speakers up as loud as they'll go and I leave it on when I leave to try and torment my neighbors, because they are loud too, huh? That's mostly why I don't like any of them, it is not because they are fat which is what they think.

We could work three jobs on minum wage just to make ends meet. The ammount a college educated worker gets paid has gone dismally low in the last couple of years. That diminishes earning power which diminishes our buying power and capitalism is driven by the consumers so if you kill the consumers and make a nation of slaves who does it benifit? The rich need the middle class to survive so is it logical to destroy the middle class for what reason? Wouldn't a country better be better off if they take care of the people and make sure the people are prosperous. If they wanted a stronger nation?

Let's face it, women spent thousands of years submitting to men's demands (many millions still do) and only woke up a mere century ago. What is wrong with them?

Honestly, when white people consider the economic disparity between whites and blacks, do you guys think it has nothing to do with slavery which gave way to Southern terrorism (lynching) which begat segregation which begat white flight which begat discriminatory housing policy (especially in the post-Depression era when many Americans had to start from scratch) which begat lower-funded public schools in the segregated black areas which is the beginning of the cycle that produces crime and poverty.

This is not about making white folks feel guilty or even finding a solution to these problems really. I just wonder how many even good-natured white folks think "history has nothing to do with the way things are today". Sometimes it just seems that they think things that happened before 2003 don't effect attitudes and circumstances today.
