There was a man who often heard these words "you think too much" from others. And now he's known to the world as Thomas Alva Edison.

Moving on to your question, it's because they don't have the capacity to match your intellect and the sense of depth that you possess. Your philosophies are way beyond their comprehension. I will tell you a little story of another scientist who had several students working under him. There was one student would work in his lab twice the hours as others. One day the scientist asked him, "Well done, son, but when do you get time to think?"

Don't let anyone curb your intelligence. You have the right to think. Keep working and keep thinking :)

Thinking is way over rated.Have you ever noticed how happy you are when you're engrossed in something you are passionate about and things just flow, without thinking time ceases to exist..., you are simply in the moment? At those times you're not thinking at all you're just BEING natural, divinely inspired. As soon as ego gets behind the wheel and begins thinking, the waters get muddied with all doubt and chaos.Sadly most people encourage thinking with the ego rather than relying on the quiet mind of inspiration.

They say that because they don't think *enough*.

Sometimes, however, you have to turn your thinking into action. Nothing wrong with thinking but sometimes you have to put action in the sidecar of that thoughtful motorcycle.

This may be what some of these folks mean to say. Others it's simply because they don't utilize their thinking properties properly themselves.

Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex... It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction.

Yes you can. Sometimes you need to accept that things are just as they are. It can make life much more pleasant to not question everything to do death. Unless there is a reason to question something, then I don't see any point.
