I hear you.
That's the thing though, isn't it? That would be thinking long-term, and your rich guys, your CEOs and One Percenters who are "in charge" of this mess....they don't want that. They *want* Big Oil, Big Banking, Big HMOs and on and on, to just *take* money out of the system, so they can create that Plantation State, that "nation of slaves", a nation of Have Alls and Have Nones. This is what happens when "Greed is Good" mutates into "Greed is GOD".
This is what happens when, for the past 26 years since Reagan was in office, you have a nation determined to have an economy like *Brazil's was* back then: where you have a Desperate Class of some 70-80% of the population living in cardboard boxes, a Hustling (and half criminal) class of some 19-29% *that scrambles* and is One Paycheck away from the poorhouse.....
And your One Percenters, on top, living in their fortresses and not spending a damn dime on a damn thing. Relatively speaking, because they get tax cuts and other corporate-centered welfare *payoffs* from the politicians *they bought* to cover their *actual expenses*.
But yeah, I hear you. -_- I wish I knew what to do about it. I wish there were a *way* to fix things so that everyone who wanted a job and needed a purpose in life could *find* these things without going insane from the poverty of it all.
I wish we *didn't* have to think about the Vonnegut Solution, as outlined at the end of _Player Piano_ (hint: "....we kill all the rich guys...."). But what can we do? Our government has *sold out* to the highest bidders. It's been like this for the past 20-30 years running. And *nobody* else will stand up to the companies....
What can we do....besides taking ALL of our money out of the system entirely, burning it to ashes, and then *killing ourselves* just to be spiteful? (not advocating this AT ALL mind you) What can we do to get our Hateful, Out of Control Filthy Rich to *be human* again?
Just asking....and thanks for your time! ^_^

The wealthy have their own interests to preserve. They don't care about the middle class. They don't want to share the lifestyle with everyone, only with their own groups. The rich can also benefit from the lower class while at the same time making it harder for them to advance to the middle class. Allowing people to get rich does not benefit the special interests of the upper class. Lower and middle classes are investments from which income is derived for the upper class.

The wealthy do care, but we as ppl have lost all interest in HOW MONEY WORKS!!!!
I have heard that many ppl feel entitled. They either dont want to work for or dont want to learn about money. They expect government to take care of them, and governments are struggling to do all this.
Best remedy? Teach our children (ourselves) how to manage money and most importantlly how it works. How many of you know anything about money beyond 401K and Paris Hilton is a millionaire? Have you read "Rich dad Poor dad" by kiyosaki? "Why we want you to be rich" by Trump and Kiyosaki? "Money management" by Suze Orman. Any books on personal finance and money managment? Regardless of thier fame, these ppl KNOW what they are talking about in terms of money.
you wanna make money? Learn about it first and how it WORKS!
listen, I can understand someone like you who probably works to death trying to make ends meet, pissed off at the rich dude ( dudette) somewhere. No wonder ppl are making millions by simply having gossip sites that spout hate about celebrities. My mom is like that. She works hard, sends me to school and is the primary worker in my family. But I also realize she is too afraid or too undereducated to really sit down and say "what the heck can I do, and what dont I know?"
please, teach yourself about this. Dont just complain, learn.
