Me, I ABSOLUTELY HATE pornography. I think it should be illegal in ALL countries of the world. It is disgusting and I think it is just horribly wrong. Are they any other guys who feel this way (or women).

My husband showed me a website last night that said Laws for all 52 States. We had been talking about this last week, that some people think Hawaii and Alaska makes 52 States in the United States. THERE ARE ONLY 50 States!!! I couldn't believe that some people think there are 52. There are 48 continental States, then Hawaii and Alaska makes 50. DUH. How can some people think there are 52. It's a sad reflection on society when most people in America can't even point to the United States on a map, and they think there are 52 States.

Ok I'm sorry but I am a white male and I live in New York and in no way is this a fair trial for the black kids. Noose hangings from a tree isn't a hate crime? then if thats not then what is? There is no way to defend that the White superintendent didnt change the decision because the kids who committed the crime were white. and worst of all called it only a prank. what is funny about that at all? and then the shotgun part of it. the one black kid wrestles the gun from him so he doesnt get shot and decides to hold onto it so he doesnt die and gets charged with theft of a firearm? when i guarentee that the white kid didnt even have a permit for the gun. Then the attempted murder bull$hit story. the kid got jumped b/c he was ripping on the black kid for getting "beat up" at a party. the kid was out of the hospital the day he went in. if it were attempted murder the kid wouldve been shot, cut, or attacked with some other weapon. Idk about anyone else but this sounds shady to me

I'm not a church-going person, and I don't go to bars or clubs. There's also not a lot going on in my small town as far as events and places to meet new people with common interests.
Further more, most of my town, and county is LDS, and I am
not, which further complicates things, due to the difference in basic ideas on life, morals, etc. Any ideas on how to meet people who are more like me?

I just recently put up a question as to why people don't state where they are from in order for us to help them as every country has different rules and regulations and it would assist people in answering your questions.
Anyway I get ......" I live in the USA you moron" and someone else states Canada is better.
WELL HELLO AMERICA, TIME TO WAKE UP AS THERE ARE MORE COUNTRIES IN THIS WORLD BESIDES YOU. HATE TO BURST YOUR LITTLE BUBBLE OF SELF INDULGENCE.

So today after class my roomies and I came home to a super creepy and graphic message on our answering machine from a stranger. We called campus police and they are checking into it, etc. We're scared though. We all feel so unsafe about everything now. What to do?

Contrary to popular beliefs, I was able to determine from reading a question on here that fire is in fact capable of weakening steel to the point where it can cause a collapse, as in the World Trade Center. This caused me to remember an episode of The View in which Rosie O'Donnell stubbornly insisted that there was absolutely no way that the fire alone could have caused the towers to collapse, although Elizabeth Hasselback tried to tell her otherwise. I found a clip of their argument on youtube, and I suddenly realized the sheer ignorance and stupidity of over half the things Rosie was saying. It was like all of a sudden none of the things she was saying made any sense. I suppose I was only listening to her before because I did not know how wrong she was, and because it seems that she has a way of getting anyone to listen to her just by the way she talks. But when you actually know how wrong she is then you realize how stupid she is making herself look by continuing to go on.

is it stupid to be an idealist and desire to transcend boundaries? most of the time my ideas are like that and i know others may see them as naiive, but if people didn't have idealistic thoughts, there may never be positive change and everything would always stay the same. the leaders of revolutions must've been idealists. however, it also has its negatives because you are constantly dissapointed and truthfully most of the ideas just wouldn't work out because of the way people and society are, so is it a waste of time to even think in such a way? what are your thoughts on this

When I compare the designs we were presented with 30 years ago with those we get to see today, I can't help but feel that nobody wants to be futuristic anymore. Nobody seems to want stuff that's "new and weird looking" - all our new products are merely "marketable looking".
Where has the pioneering spirit gone?
And why?
