I made excellent grades in high school and was involved in extracurricular activities but could get barely any money for school. Right now, I can't even afford my books, but I am going to press on and still try. Anyhow, I have seen that many White believe that blacks go to college for free. This is a gross falsification that makes me very depressed. I wish I could get anything for school. I have, however, noticed that more financial aid is given to blacks who go to historically black colleges, which is a terrible thing if you ask me. Many of these colleges are horrific and it almost seems like a way to group as many blacks as possible into these "wannabe" schools that are in no way up to par to other colleges and universities. Anyhow, I just brought this up because I read a question in which someone stated that blacks can go to college for free and it just made me want to cry because I am barely making it and I am stretched so thin, I may snap any day.

Many studies have shown and proven that a missing father or mother in a family has detrimental effects on a child, whether it is male or female. Keep this in mind.

Do you think that a law should be passed creating stipulations by which a child can be adopted? Such as....
1) must have both parents.
2) parents must have healthy relationship

Broken homes are a leading factor in teen crime and gang related activity, not to mention drug use and abuse, suicide, and eventually even homicide.

If these stipulations were in place, do you think it would be better?

This would make it nearly impossible for homosexual couples to adopt kids as well, seeing as how they lack having a healthy family environment. Two women cannot raise a child the way a man and a woman together can, nor can two men. The child will be heavily affected by the lifestyle he is forced to live, which would be just as bad as the above mentioned situations.

Okay so I got a D.U.I and learned my lesson worst thing to ever happen to me and i've already went threw hell and back but now iam still trying to get a job and get my life together. So whats happening is Iam gettin email on a website stating that i can clear my D.U.I on record or make it so that its doesn't interfer with insurance cuz now iam consider HIGH risk.The web site called D.U.I Process my question is if there a way to actually clear your record like this website because it seems bogus what do you think? I'm nigerian (dark skinned but look latina), and I only find myself attracted to white & latino guys..I'm guessing it's because I was raised in Puerto Rico and well I'm also picky about how the guys should look..'cuz I guess I'm a bit shallow, but I can't help it, I try but can't seem to have more of a broad attraction when it comes to men. Is it wrong that I feel like I would never date a guy who is not white or latino? and what are my odds of getting that type of guy?

i was born in south france came to the uk at 7. iam 30 but i don't like britain and im wanting to immigrate to a hot place to build a new life.
what does anyone think? has anyone any suggestions or advice?
i'm certain about leaving the uk, but it is where to go...thats friendly, hot, got deserts, beaches etc.

OMG,kids don't speak anymore. They text and IM now, and when they do, it's in some foreign code that makes a mockery of the King's English. ITDGI. Why don't kids talk anymore? IDK. I'll ask my BFF. BRB.

It is the same situation that happened in Taiwan. There are several dialects that speak in Taiwan. In different region, the way or the pronunciation from the people can be different. In addition, people tend to think that person who live in the north part of Taiwan can pronounce more accurately than the people who live in the south part. Also, people will look down on and make fun of someone, if he/she pronounces words with south accent.

As the example present earlier, I believe that this is the problem that not only happened in the United States and Taiwan, but truly happened in every country. Therefore, the best way to solve the problem is that people should change their point of views and their minds to brace, accept different kinds of dialects. Also, they need to learn how to respect different dialects and different culture backgrounds. In schools, teacher should help students to understand the reason why we have different dialects and help them to learn to respect different kinds of people, regions, and culture backgrounds which are present in our everyday lives. If children learn this basic conception in their early childhood, when they grow up, I believe, it will has less prejudice and stereotypes to the people who from the lower social status or ethnic groups.

I've noticed that most old people, even my own parents who aren't really 'old' yet always seem to choose old music, films and fashion over new ones. Even something that's new is better they still reject it. There are even people who live in 'retro' homes where everything is old fashioned. They always talk about how much 'better' things were back in their days despite all the wars that happened and the barbaric cultures in some places (capital punishment). There are aspects of today's society that are much better than back then I reckon.

Don't you think people from other religious or cultural backgrounds should be able to choose what holidays to celerbrate?
Like today is Roshashawna or however it is spelled the Jewish New Year. I have coworkers who have to take vacation or personal time to celerbrate it. Yet we are off for Christmas and they don't celerbrate that. I know in low level jobs this would be hard but in corparte america there should be away where they will be able to work even from home on Christmas so that they can get one of their days off and not use up their time. Personally I am a Christan American so i celerbrate all the holidays i get off but i am also Puerto Rican and i would gladly give up Presidents day to celerbrate one of the Puerto Rican holidays.
