It is the same situation that happened in Taiwan. There are several dialects that speak in Taiwan. In different region, the way or the pronunciation from the people can be different. In addition, people tend to think that person who live in the north part of Taiwan can pronounce more accurately than the people who live in the south part. Also, people will look down on and make fun of someone, if he/she pronounces words with south accent.

As the example present earlier, I believe that this is the problem that not only happened in the United States and Taiwan, but truly happened in every country. Therefore, the best way to solve the problem is that people should change their point of views and their minds to brace, accept different kinds of dialects. Also, they need to learn how to respect different dialects and different culture backgrounds. In schools, teacher should help students to understand the reason why we have different dialects and help them to learn to respect different kinds of people, regions, and culture backgrounds which are present in our everyday lives. If children learn this basic conception in their early childhood, when they grow up, I believe, it will has less prejudice and stereotypes to the people who from the lower social status or ethnic groups.

Finally, I am done! : )
I tried to change your wordings a bit and not to repeat the same words too many times. You know like the word "dialect".
Hey! I am not perfect...I do have writing problems like yours. Maybe a little bit different. I sometimes, got stuck on a middle of the paragraph for a short period of time and came back writing something completely off topic. LOL

This respect travel both ways. You're asking teachers to understand the students. So far, you never mentioned that the other side should respect the teachers. OK, from both sides, there are dialects, but remember teachers are there to teach? And they must be able to catch the words you say in order to understand. Now if everyone speak their own dialect, it'll be like talking in tongue? You must get to the point that it's ok to have your dialect, but it's not to have a hardhead and say "well just understand me no matter what??? Don't you think that it's difficult for them to understand all the accents they encounter, and the slangs they hear and try to correct over and over? It's easy to say ' understand me and I'll sit back, the work is yours? You also need to meet at some point or where is the respect on your part ( and I mean from all races, languages... of students )
