when you fall in love spontaneously and naturally or when people put pressure on you and your "partner"?

Getting to know and appreciate the other person is the BEST way. If that knowledge proves to show up characteristics you can't live with, then it is the wrong person.
Unfortunately, when people start to date, they try to hide their true nature. That "good image" gets the process of knowing the other off to a start, but has a bad habit of leaving a LOT of explaining to do later. Being honest early on in a relationship is a wise choice, along with being able to forgive their past. - When you know about their past mistakes, just watch to see if they have REALLY changed, but don't "brow-beat" them with it or you will drive them away.

You're really asking this question with an answer in mind. Regardless, love is actually a concept that is fairly modern in its activity. Throughout most of history, marriages were arranged and based mostly on economic positioning. Love was even seen as a practical sickness. THAT DOES MEAN IT EXISTED AT LEAST! Even when society thought it rare and wrong, it still existed and was documented, so I still have some hope that is something natural about love and it isn't just something society socializes into us. So yes, I do hope love can just happen.

I would love to think I love spontaneously, but being realistic, I don't think it happens. I think the best way is to know the person and get along - you can be friends and lovers. How happy I would be to meet someone like that!
