what do you think of the following contradictions?

Americans seem to get realy fussed up about nudity on tv, or in public places. And parrents seem to have great trouble talking to their children about sex. I often see question on how to sit their pubessant children down for 'the talk' or a talk about sexuality in general. While a person is bombarded with sexual image on a daily basis by the american media. underwear adds, shampoo adds, sex in television series, movies and soaps.

america is fixated on sports, a lot of emphesis is put on sports during highschool. not practicing a sporti n highschool will leave you terribly unpopular. Organised sports catch very high ratings nationwide. Yet 56% of the population, is overweight, and a shocking 29% is obeice due to a poort diet and a lack of excersize.

America is obsessed with the successful, moviestars politicians, the rich and famous. while a large portion of the country, lives in poverty in ghettos where crime culture rules

It used to be my favourite thing, but then they started making it with white crap inside.

I didn't mind, it's just more choices, but then they stopped making it with the proper dark chocolate all together,

I was gutted, untill they started making Flyte's which was pretty much the same thing, but they don't make those anymore.

I was watching the news and I saw a clip of a high school girl wanting to get breast implants just to fit in. Is this the new trend now? How sad is this!? Is there anyone out there with real breasts anymore?

These days women are trying more and more to become equal with men, yet this strange 'manners' still apply. Such as holding the door open for women or not being able to hit a woman because she is a woman (among friends). Do you think everyone should be exactly equal? Socially, Ethically and ecnomically?

Have you ever wondered what people thing right before they commit suicide? And also once they reach the other side are they upset or happy about what they did?

I have wondered this because I want to know what makes a person go that step further to actully pulling the trigger of a gun or actully slitting their wrist...or so on. I some people dont do it because they are actually afraid of death and afraid of whats may be on the otherside, so this fear how can i say--keeps them at bay.

I am not a fan of Starbucks or the coffee house scene. I said that to a group of folks and I was looked upon as if I was "beneth" them or something, And I was questioned as to why I did not like starbucks.


I thought to myself is it really that serious.

Sadly, I have had to live in the United States all of my life. But I have had the pleasure of meeting many beautiful European ladies.

But generally speaking are American women much more masculine then European women?

The reason I ask is that we Puritans, we Americans hide our women under baggy sweats like the Arabs. I mean if you go to a public place such as the corner library or the grocery are the women not dressed like men in slacks or sweats?

Why is it that American women prefer to look more masculine when European women are still wearing dresses and their hair long as is the ideal woman (ie. Audrey Hepburn, Garace Kelly). Sure American women used to look like women but what ever happened?

At least some female celebrities still retain a feminine look such as Paris Hilton!

But what has happened to America? When did the lazy ugly Rosanne Barr look become the average look for American women? What can we do to improve the look of the 21st century United States woman?

It seems like few people have empthy anymore. For instance I notice that alot of answers on here seem so sarcastic instead of trying to help each other, and it's everywhere you go. I know it is a lot easier to make fun instead of trying to understand someone's problems. We are all here on earth together, why do we wan't to make things harder for one another? It's not like I am perfect but when I do or say something that might have hurt someone I try to make it right again. I was told when I was young I would feel different when I was older. I am now fourty and still feel the same. I know I can't change people, but If we could all just try a little more it might make a difference. Thanks for listening. Does anyone feel the same?

i moved in, in august....
On the third week all of the sudden we had fleas ..
but NO pets...
She said it was my fault that i brought the fleas in... she was having a bad reaction to them.. it didnt help she wouldnt stop scratching... as soon as we found that out we agreed to do some kind of raid treatment.. and i told her what we needed.. and when she went to the store she only wanted ALCOHOL...i went out and bought the carpet spray.. and then had to bassically drag her to the store to get the bug bomb..
meanwhile she thought i was laughing at her because my face was in disbelief that we had FLEAS and no PETS..
She Said "would it be funny if i had to go to the hospital, and you had to pay the bill" i told her i wasnt laughing at her!!! But an argument started anyway..
After we put the bombs she had a problem with my housecleaning... and i agreed i would change these certain things.. then the flea thing was still my fault so there was another argument

I'm so sick of people on here saying looks dont matter, im not say the person has to be gorgeous, but you have to be physically attracted to them i mean if there total ***** (but was gorgeous) then no i wouldn't date her but if there was a girl u was super nice but i was not a attracted to her at all i wouldn't date here either, so when will u people (well most of you) stop lying
